I like her video. I laugh a lot, and often find many things funny so I guess their giggling did not bother me. I don't know why she straightened her hair to go to the beach either but whatever. She may not like going in the water.

I saw that comment too, it was ridiculous. Yes Taren may have annoyed some peeps but there is no need for someone to have taken it to that level, that was just downright malicious and nasty. Whoever wrote that comment really needs to get a life and some professional help if they're going to get that nasty over hair.

I definitely think straight hair is easier when traveling, I can attest. In tropical climates, my braidouts and twistouts turn into total bush. At least with it straight, even when there is some reversion, I can pull it into a nice bun with ease.

And I do get in the water. Just throw the hair in a bun on the top of my head. I don't usually go underwater--even if I were wearing a wash-n-go.

I understand how she thinks straight hair would be easier however she seemed disappointed with the heat damage that occurred. With that being said I dont understand why she would go back so soon to heat. It would be a different story if she didn't really mind or care about the heat damage and went back to the heat. I love her curly hair prior to the damage but at this point I wouldn't give her any sympathy if she incurred any more damage than whats already been done.

Anyhoo, I went on vacation recently with a rollerset because it's "easier". Umm no maam. About an hour after I got there, I had rollerset ends with about 3 inches of nappy roots. It was a hot mess. I just bought some conditioner and sported a wash n go the rest of the trip.

She is also into the mixed, "exotic" eye candy kind of look. Maybe that's not the best way to describe it, but I don't know what to call it. But, it's the type of look or persona that wouldn't wear afrocentric hairstyles like twists, etc. And she would only wear cornrows if Alicia Keys and J.Lo (or, I guess Kim K.) makes them trendy again.

The video was silly IMO, but there are a lot of silly videos out there. It's really not that serious and I'm definitely not gonna waste my time commenting on YT about it. Personally, I don't care what the girl does w/ her hair in Mexico, the U.S., whatever.

Like someone stated earlier, she set herself up when she made that heat damage video. People already were hatin' on her, so she opened the flood gates and gave them something else to talk about.

If someone doesn't like her, they shouldn't watch her videos and definitely should not subscribe to her channels. I watch her videos when they are posted on LHCF, so I can have a clue about what folks are talking about (so I can jump in and add my 15 cents).

a.) it was a rollerset that was wrapped...not even a blowout with the round brush afterwards...she didnt flat-iron it or press it or use any direct heat...

Taren, the only reason you have any subs. is because you're light skinned, and have curly hair. I hope you realize that. Because otherwise your hair is totally ****ed up, damage wise of course. And your tips suck. It's just sad that any whore on YT can make partner these days, thank God you aren't in the 'YT big times' like juicy star or michelle phan. ALL of your tips are AWFUL.

my only issue was crying about heat damage and then wearing your hair straight. i understand it was not direct heat but still.
if it were me i would have wash and go and for the other days do a nice leek low pony puff.

I think she said in the video that the climate in Cabo is dry and not humid. So if that's the case straight hair should hold very well there. IMO she can do whatever she wants to her hair. I enjoy most of her hair videos. Her diffusing and stretching techniques work very well for me when I use them.

She did say it was dry, and I had the same point as you when she first said that. Then I checked the dew point in Cabo, and it's 59...definitely not dry, and definitely not optimal for wearing straight hair.
