Natural Curls and Color

I'm natural and I'm thinking about adding some color to my hair. As much as I love dark hair, I think natural curls look good with color. So my question is do you like your curls dark or with some color???

Every summer I can't help but add highlights. I like a splash of color here and there.

I usually dye my hair an auburn color once a year. I try to limit the die to once a year due to the die drying out my hair. But, I love color. I wish I could do it more often.

I like lighter shades of brown with highlights when I see them on natural heads, but I'm afraid to color and bleach my hair... too much upkeep for me! So, I'll just stick with my dark hair... when I need a fix I henna

I usually get my from hennaforhair.com, and I mix it with a little indigo just before I apply it to get a darker red.

I like my hair with a lighter color. Not too light because I don't want to damage my hair. I think my curls and styles look better with some color. I currently have a medium brown color (level 6) in my hair.

I was born with diff shades of brown, and as a child my mum used to always put henna on my head. I remember going to school and teachers asking me 'If I'm ginger'' (when the sun hit my head) Wtf!! And I guess my hate for colour can be traced back then

I've always had what I call a dirty brown'.. and when I can be bothered I dye it black. But the dye always fades, and that annoys me. However, my hair does look diff depending on lighting (as you can see in my siggy) Anyway Personally I love a strong Jet Black look, and I think that suits me best.

I love color. I've decided, though, to only color once per year. It seems to be healthier for my hair. I've also been able to adapt a great regimen to keep my color-treated hair from turning into a brittle bush of flammabilty

I love my natural curls with highlights but when my hair is straight I think it looks better dark. I would love to dye my hair jet black for the winter but the only thing stopping me is the fact that I wear it curly more than straight.

I have highlights in now, but I'm thinking about going lighter, so I'm holding off re-touching until I decide.

I like my curls with color. I apply Henna for an auburn color which I love. I like light or dark though, no matter to me.

I love color in my hair! I have highlights from a few months ago...I think my hair looks better with color when I wear it curly - it adds a little depth and makes the curls stand out more. I want to go lighter all over, but am a little hesitant...

I like my curls whatever color they are. Dying hair is fun, but I think dark hair looks just as nice as light. For me, it's more if the color itself is flattering.

The only thing I don't like on curly hair is big, chunky highlights because it can kinda look bride of frakenstein-esque.
