Reecie, your hair has made a total transformation. How did it get so much more thicker? I see people grow hair on here, but as it gets longer, it doesn't get much thicker, but there is such a notable difference in the thickness of your hair in just 2 years. Wow !

Thanks Brittster. My healthy hair practices stopped my hair breakage and I was able to get the thickness back. I used to be an idiot when it came to taking care of my hair. My hair use to be thick, but it broke off due to color and heat damage (I would wash/blowdry/flatiron my hair every 2 days). YES... I know!

My ends are still not as thick as I would like them to be, but once I get more length, I'll slowly start to trim the ends .5 inches at a time!

Protein treatments really helped thicken up my hair and also laying off the blowdryer and flatiron on my ends. I've really learned to baby my ends before anything else. I hope that helps.

:thud:

seriously its gorgeous!!! :waytogo: Congratulations...the dedication and hardwork REALLY paid off!!

Your hair looks great - you're relaxed, right? Did you mention how often you relax?

Thanks Solitude. I use Mizani Butter Blends. I relax when I feel like I can no longer style my hair effectively without using more heat, which is usually every 8 - 9 weeks.

Great job on your hair. Your progress is really amazing. I read your blog and saw your regimen. What is the purpose of the pre poo that you use? Do you coat your whole head with the mixture?

Great progress! Congrats! I like your blog. I will be forwarding a link to my lil god sister. She is 19 and loves wigs but I know she can grow her hair. I think she will like your blog and take the hair advice better. Happy continued hair growing to you.

I really needed to see this. Your progress is so inspiring!! Your hair color is gorgeous as well. I've been thinking about putting some highlights in my hair...

I'm definitely following your blog

Awesome Reecie! I'm happy for you and yes, you are an inspiration to many of us!

:blush3::blush3: Ok. Ya'll need to stop flattering me! Thanks so much, ladies! This really means a lot to me!

To answer your question, Day Dreamer... The purpose of my wheat germ oil/EVOO mixture kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

#1) It lubricates/moisturizes the hair at makes it unbelievably soft.

#2) Wheat germ oil is a ceramide, which limits the loss of your hair's protein. When I incorporate it into my regimen, my hair's need for protein lessens. (FYI, You should join the Ceramide challenge, which goes into detail about ceramides.)

Wow, what a transformation!!! I was just on your blog and watched several of your videos--very informative! :yep: Looks like I will be picking me up some wheat germ oil this weekend.
