You think so? At first glance, I have to admit I wondered the same thing. But then I was so overwhelmed by the amazing shine and didn't give it another thought. Hmmmm, will have to take another look. :ohwell:

Yes, I've seen her sporting a few wigs lately. I believe she was wearing one during the SOTU address.

"Trained" is a nice euphemism for damaged natural hair that has been burned straight from improper heat-straightening methods.
I know some people who do this on purpose and their hair is long, too. It doesn't look damaged at all. They just prefer their natural hair to be strait, not curly.

The damage refers to the hair's inability to revert back to the curly state, not the look of the hair. It can still grow long.

:giggle: I love how we can discuss this on here.
I love that a thread like this exists. we are just too much....

we wrong...dead a** wrong......

on that note..i do think she has a few tracks thrown up in there lately, not that it matters, but yeah.

you know ive been wondering if she was rocking 1/2 wigs as well bc it was moving soo much. well i like how she's keeping it natural looking

relaxed... if she was natural I'd think we would have seen it at least once curly... but then again Oprah hid hers pretty well... either way her hair is amazing!

On September 11, 2009 it rained in DC during the Memorial, you can find pic of Michelle getting rained on.

I heard Johnny Wright her stylist say on the radio that she was natural and pressed, so I'm gonna go with that. He does a beautiful job with her hair for sure. :yep:

(A) I can't believe this thread got bumped.

(B) Michelle herself has said her hair is "permed" so I am going to go with that.

It takes the negative Nellies to turn this thread into a "heated debate" lol
Sheesh it was just a question.

It's not a question that requires answering. Her hair has no baring on how she handles her role as a First Lady. I didn't care whether or not Laura Bush's hair was naturally brunette. I apply the same standard towards Mrs. Obama.

Err, of course her hair has no baring on how she handles her role as First Lady, but that's why we have a political forum where we discuss that.

However, this is the hair forum, and in the same way we talk about her style in the fashion forum, we can talk about her hair over here.

Does her style has any baring on how she handles her role as First Lady? Of course it doesn't, but that's the beauty of any discusssion. It's multifaceted, we can talk about her intelligence, her role, her viewpoints, her style, her hair. I fail to see how discussing her hair limits the discussion about her role as First Lady.

I admire Michelle's intelligence, her style, and her hair....the standard I apply to Michelle is higher than any other First Lady. Why would I discuss Laura Bush's hair when I have no interest in it? She doesn't have hair like mine? I'm not sure that comparison is even relevant.
