Ms Kibibi...did you know that YOUR picture was the one that inspired me to start taking better care of my hair in 2007? I saw your picture on the Crown and Glory website (I'm pretty sure you are the same Ms. Kibibi, yes?). I was in Iraq, and I e-mailed it to my husband saying, "I want my hair to look like this." I didn't actually start getting focused until 2008, but THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your hair is gorgeous and you are an inspiration!!!!
 
Your hair is amazing. You are an inspiration because through all of the setbacks you still persevered. Thanks for sharing your pics.

I use Affirm Lye in regular. I've been using it since 2003-2004. I think i've tried one other relaxer during that time, but it gave me different results than the Affirm. Since I texlax now, and I have my self relax process mastered, I probably won't ever switch b/c I always get even results.

Hey OneShinyface! It has been that long indeed. How are you? You are one of my original inspirations especially during my setbacks. I remember your pics of how your hair started shedding like crazy and you bounced back.

Short term - Continue to perfect my regimen. It's a process and while I've had setbacks b/c I tried something new lol I'm still open minded to finding new products, so I don't go crazy when a product is discontinued (like when they got rid of the CON conditioner with the purple label, anyone remember that?).

Oops, I forgot to add my long term goals -
- The bottom two inches of my nape is much shorter than the rest of my hair. I plan to grow out the nape area, so it's the same length as the rest of my hair.
- I also want to have full waist length all around, right now the front is about BSL.
- Super thick ends. I had a moment of inspiration/madness last year and gave myself layers. I ended up thinning out my 'weight line'.
