Wow! Your hair looks great! Congrats on passing the bar and on the wedding.

What kind of flatiron do you have? Your flatironed hair looks great also.

I have 2 Sedu flat irons (1" and 1 1/2") and a Maxiglide MP. I wasn't too impressed with the Maxiglide, but I use it when I don't want super straight results.

Your hair is amazing. You've been my hair idol for like....ever :lachen:.

I know you used to be client of Reniece (also my hair idol now that I'm transitioning). Can you spill some of her secrets/techniques/products?

That lady can grow hair like no other!

Positively, absolutely beautiful:yep::yep::yep: Thanks so much for the pics, and congrats on reaching your goals with lots of hair:grin:

I'm not sure if this counts as secrets lol but Reniece is extremely gentle with hair and she uses quality products in her salon (Kerastase level products). She also puts health before style and will refuse to do something that she knows will damage your hair. Yet, she is also very patient with a client who has "their way" of doing things. She is the person who convinced me to stop relaxing my edges first but she did it a caring matter (not "i'm the stylist so I know what's best"). I'd say her 'secret' is she actually listens to her clients and sadly, that's rare these days.

She is still my stylist, although I don't go as often because I'm living in NC. I make appointments with her whenever I plan to visit DC and she did my hair for my wedding (which was FAB! the curls lasted for over 12 hours).

Your hair is so beautiful. It looks perfect. Did you have long hair as a child?

No maam. In fact, I have the pictures to prove it :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mWOJ5TRYtY. Before I got serious about my hair, the longest it got was between SL and APL.

:thud: :thud: and :dead:.... that's all I can say YOUR HAIR IS FRICKIN GOREGOUS!!! WB and Congrats on everything..

Hi Sade! Your hair looks beautiful. We have the same pink Reniece salon background lol. How are you?

Yes we have the same pink background...LOL. I can't wait to get back from this deployment because my hair desperately need Reniece. Glad to see you are doing well. I have always followed your hair progress so it is good to see you back on here. Right now I am going hair disappointment but I am sure all that will go away once I can go see Reniece. Take care lady.

Thank you so much for posting your hair journey from start until now. It is really inspirational. I had a huge set back due to henna as well so I am back on the road to getting WL hair again. I will definitely follow you on your blog.

Thanks for checking in! Congrats to you on all of your accomplishments! Your hair is FABULOUS!!!!

Hi MsKibibi,
I absolutely love your hair and your regimen!! What type of diet has contributed to your growth? You mentioned that you are on a high protein diet. What does that consist of?
Thanks

Stay safe and I'll be praying for your safe return and for your hair :)

Thank you for posting this address to your blog. My son is away for the weekend, so I am going to take my time going through it. Yeah, I should have more of a life, but I am hair obssessed, so there you have it :lachen:

No judgments here ;)

OMG one my biggest setbacks was b/c of henna/indigo. Even though I wasn't posting, I was on some "bangwagons" lol It took me 13 hours (literally from start to finish) to do my hair when I did the henna. Most of that time was spent detangling. I still have unopened packets of henna and indigo.

Eggs, eggs, and more eggs. LOL I love eggs. I usually eat 3 eggs a day but when my cholesterol got to 280 (which is super high for my size), my doctor made my cut back. So now I eat 1 whole egg and 2 egg white (just remove 2 yolks which is the tasty/unhealthy part). My cholesterol is normal again. I either scramble, make an omelet or fry them over-hard for breakfast. Eggs have a high concentration of protein for the amount you have to eat. For example, 1 large egg has about 6 grams of protein, while 1 cup of milk has 8 grams.

I eat a lot of chicken (never fried) but sometimes I go on a chicken strike and won't eat chicken for weeks b/c I get tired of it.

I also love cheese, I will snack on a block of cheese like its candy. Or wake up in the middle of night and go eat some cheese. lol.

BEAUTIFUL hair!!! You have given me inspiration to continue wearing my half wig! :yep: I just started back wearing a half wig again because my hair has grown out from when I cut it last March (?). I have a similar regimen to yours. I  Lacio Lacio. I just started using it a few months ago and am hooked! :yep: I've also been using Infusium 23 for YEARS.

Welcome back! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!:lick: I will be following your blog and your youtube channel! :spinning:

I am dealing with a setback from my stylist- combing root to tip and she's killing my ends. Thanks for the inspiration; I'm working up the courage to leave her after 10 years- she's a personal friend too.

I cannot wait to see your self-relaxer tutorial! I'll be checking your blog and channel daily to see it!
