Those of you that were having problems with HairSister's

Oh man... I placed a jumbo order on Hairsisters almost a week ago... yet my account on the site acts like I just put the items in my cart and didn't pay. Unlike the girl in the you.tube vid, I was NOT trying to go and pay for it again, for fear of being double charged... and being double charged for like 5 wigs at that! But I was thinking maybe I need to call hairsisters up and ask DID they process my order? WHY is it not shown on the site? WHEN will I get my stuff?

I know this much... I ordered from savebeauty like an hour before I ordered from hairsisters... and I've been wearing my new wig from there for the past TWO days. If I manage to get out of this transaction without getting ganked, I will NEVER order from hairsisters again.
 
Wish I could answer your questions but it appears as if they are being sketchy like she said. I just remebering running across some threads about them and thought this vid would be helpful for other wig buyers. I have been looking for a wig and I won't be ordering it from them now. I think you should check your bank statement and/or call them ASAP. Make sure they haven't taken your money.

Man I wonder why so many people are having an issue with them. I've never had issue with them. It does take a while to receive my order, though and they don't give me a tracking number so I'll know when I'll be expecting it....

I just called and canceled my order. I got an email confirmation right away that it has been canceled. If it hasn't shipped yet you should be able to cancel it.
 
Can't watch the video (at work) but I ordered something from them way back in November and never got it. I called three times and each time they told me they were tracking it and they'd get back to me. The last time was two weeks ago. :rolleyes: I filed a dispute with my credit card company, so hopefully I won't be charged for it. BEWARE!

This is exactly why they want you to call and order with a prepaid card instead of using a credit card or paypal because of disputes. If you order with a prepaid there's no getting your money back. Some people have been stuck like Chuck :nono:
 
^^^ I didn't know that! You can't file a complaint with Paypal? I thought they had those protections as well.

ETA: I just checked my checking account and they sure did debit my account. I'm scared to cancel because then they'll just not send my order but I bet they will keep the money. Damm! I which I had just ordered from savebeauty and not from hairsisters. NEVER AGAIN!

^^^^OH NO, Paypal iS AWESOME, I have been taken by several people not proud of that but PAYPAL gets busy and handles it and I get a refund within 45 days. Long but atleast there is a light at the end of the tunnell, they freeze the money in the other persons account as soon as you alert them and if there is an issue where they close it out they are billed!

I haven't had an issue with Hairsisters other than SLOOOOOOOW shipping. Also they have things on back order say they called me and never did, So I waited for like 4 weeks for my order. NOT COOL, cancelled that. I just got and order from them yesterday 4 hair pieces including lacefronts, 1 week from the time I ordered I got it 7 days later. Not too bad, going to watch the video.

This is news to me! Where are all these threads about hair sisters? Can someone post a link? I have NEVER had issues with them ans I've been a customer for nearly 5 years. My orders always arrive when they say it will per the shipping calendar on their site. I just placed on order earlier this week.
 
HairSisters are a bit nutty. My last two orders, I purchased a wig paid for it and like a week later got a notice that it was out of stock. They requested that I call back to discuss other options. I didn't, but then, I got the wigs like a couple of says later. They have a strange way of doing business.
 
There is a thread in the salon/vendor review forum. Should be on the first page as I seen it this morning. I should have put this there.

Anyways I wouldn't worry. They should be able to keep your money. There is always something you can do. Atleast I hope.

I am more upset about them posting their own positive reviews on the web page and then deleting negative reviews. Makes me wonder what else they are doing. Also on BHM there is a thread where people were saying their negative reviews went missing as well.
 
Yeah, I noticed they started deleting reviews too. One of my fave hobbies was going through and commenting on wigs that looked a HAM :sekret: lol but now they just delete any negative comments.

Same here with the noticing, I just thought they got bumped to the archives, now I know where they are........ One of my favorite hobbies is going through looking and reading. I wondered why all the reviews were sooo positive. :( :nono::nono::nono:

I did, I left my name and number and they STILL haven't called me back hours later. Three guesses why they are getting so many calls :burnup: take folks money and don't fulfill orders and yes, people will blow up your phones!

I am so enraged at this I just dont' know what to do. SMFH. I wish I had just kept my money to start with. Now I'm afraid I won't get my money back OR my wigs.

I emailed them the start of this thread; and I got nada no response. I hope you get your money back or a phone call about your order, please keep calling until you get your money or your wigs. IF EVER you choose to buy from them please use Paypal so you can get your money back. :nono::nono: horrible way to treat your customers.
 
I posted my experience with them in the vendor's forum so I won't repeat it here, but I'm not ordering from them anymore...and I know for a fact that they delete negative reviews because I posted one and they deleted it. I just placed my latest order with ebonyline.com...forget hairsisters!
 
I will try to contact them ONCE more. After that time, I'll go straight to Visa and let THEM handle it. I bet they start paying attention then. SMDH. I used to shop from there all the time, this is the first time they did me dirty like this.
 
Wow thats crazy. I have never had a bad experience with them BUT i have heard of crazy things happening with them. I hope everything works out for her.

I almost ignored it because I didn't order from them. I looked at my first delivery email and it says that name as well.

But for the record my transaction with clairhair was smooth and I like my wig.

I almost ignored it because I didn't order from them. I looked at my first delivery email and it says that name as well.

But for the record my transaction with clairhair was smooth and I like my wig.
 
Damn it don't ya'll know I have been itching to order wigs from them for the last 4 months!! For some reason, when I actually added the items to my cart, I was not having a good "feeling" about it. So, having this feeling that I should check around the Internet to get a better price on the same wig, I came across it somewhere else. Needless to say, with the shipping costs and price, I came out about $7-$10 cheaper than Hairsisters. That's why I never ordered from them. I've been buying my wigs from a BSS in Alabama.

IDK why I just had this bad feeling, or feeling that I should read thorughly through the site, but I did. And, I did read through the site, but wasn't sure about ordering from them still. Maybe it was God trying to keep my little A88 from getting scammed.

All I can say is, I watched the lovely lady's vid, and I was very intrigued (she's very pretty, by the way, and I love her wig)! I have seen those comments by Ms. Tanaka and Ms. Wiggins repeatedly all over their site on various wig styles, and it never occurred to me that it might be made up! However, I did figure when I first learned of the site that it was Asian-owned/run.

They basically brought the weave/wig trade to the U.S. Who are we kidding? And, I have heard from African-American entrepreneurs who wish to open their own BSS, that the Asians have the "best deals on hair," and that they "make it very hard for blacks to get the same deals/inventory in order to run their own stores." Ya'll know if we had more successful black-owned BSS's, their a88es (Asians and Indians) would be outta business. One day---one day we might be able to dominate the market in being the sellers, not the consumers only!!

All I can say now is, "thank God I didn't order, and that I have a reliable place to purchase my wigs!" Thanks OP for putting this up. Though I'm on the site alot, I never heard or saw complaints about Hairsisters. I've seen the clairhair.com site, but never thought of really ordering. I was spared through God looking out and good ol' gut-feeling. I will avoid them both like the plague, now!

{PHEW!!!} ETA: Ladies, take the time to get a Paypal account or to make sure these sites are Visa Verified before buying. That way, you have some recourse if you get taken! I ONLY use Paypal online. If a site doesn't have it, they are unlikely to get my money. After buying/selling with Ebay since '03, I have learned the tricks of the trade to not being taken by these sites, by customers (when a seller), and to getting the stuff I order!

I really hate buying from Asian's for the simple fact they know nothing about my hair. They just want your money. And their English is horrible. Anytime I can support a black owned BSS I am on it. Thing is, they usually don't have all you need.

I hope that changes one day too, because I have been avoiding the Asian owned BSS like the plauge unless their is no other option(like today I'ma go look at wigs)

Now that I know Hairsister's is Asian owned and they on some shady mess, I am stirring clear. I read on BHM that clairhair's came about when Hairsister's was getting thrown under the bus for their shady business. That's why most have smooth transactions with Clairhair. I won't shop at either. Unless I HAVE too lol. Which right now I don't.

Hope everything works out for you LadyP, I know it will though, you know what your doing.
 
Well, well, well. I had called and called, left message after message. I had emailed again and again and again. Nothing.

Tell me why I sent an email with the title as "merchant account violation" explaining that if I didn't hear from them within 24 hours I was going to Visa to file a formal complaint against them, which could result in them losing the privilege of processing Visa payments... and got a VERY polite and professional reply within MINUTES. Talking 'bout Oh we're so sorry, it was just a glitch, do you want the products still or do you want a refund, we want to make you happy. :grin:

I told them to run me my money, please and thank you!

(I learned that merchant account thing from LHCF!!!! :yay: )
