Would you rather he did it with a prostitute, or with some other chick?

I was reading a thread on the relationship forum, (the*Nsync thread) where a woman walked in on her man and a whore. For some reason I thought "well at least he didn't plan on carrying a whole relationship on the side". I know that sex outside of the relationship is very dangerous regardless, but emotionally, would you feel any better if it were a prostitute (no strings) or if he was "seeing someone else"? Would it even matter to you?

I'd like to add: I had a male friend once that commented on a basketball player getting caught with his pants down with a pro. He was married. My friend said "He did the right thing, though". I was like, WTf!!? He explained that he didn't give his love and time to another woman, just paid a pro one time to get sucked off :blush: so he was doing the right thing....
 
I picked it doesn't matter he sexed another chic...but if I had to choose I would pic a regular chic, being with a prostitute seems even more disrespectful :(

LOL your post keeps changing! :drunk: I chose that it didn't matter. I see the reasoning that my friend had, but as a woman it's just more emotional to me - he put MY THING in someone else. Ilk.

ETA; Radianthealth, is it because he went so far as to give her money for it?

I agree with the friend. Thinking like a female, I'd say it wouldn't matter who it was but thinking like a man, a jump off if just a jump off. No emotional ties. A jump off is better than a full blown relationship on the side. I voted the town ho.

I agree with this. There is so much deception in a full blown affair and sometimes people really develop relationships within them. With a pro....no ties, it is what it is

ITA. With a jump off even though cheating is cheating, it was just carnal for him. When a man gets involved emotionally with another woman, it hurts more because he's giving away ALL of himself, not just the physical. I speak from past experience unfortunately.:ohwell:
 
neither but if i had to choose i would go with the prostitue for two reasons:

1. no emotional connection
2. educated about diseases and more likely to protect herself

it sounds logical. but it seems to me the pro's would be more knowledgable in that area. i've seen those hbo specials too about the prostitutes with hiv and it's sad :ohwell:

i know there's an hiv counselor here. i would have to get her opinion on the percentage of hiv cases/causes. from what i here it's more everday folk than prostitues.
 
Cheating is cheating! The professional idea is just silly! He should be able to tell me how he wants it or I'll just watch a few movies to improve...:blush:

personally, it would be more because he decided that sex with what is presumably an unattractive, std-infested female was a better option than myself...

whoever this woman is you will be hurt: if it's with a ho then it's for the above reasons, with a "classy" lady then it's because she may look more sophisticated than you, if it's with the town bike that gives it away for free then it's because he's with someone with questionable morals and is "loose" etc. however, whatever "type" of woman he slept with, all that really matters is that he cheated on you and men who cheat don't care what the woman has to offer mentally and sometimes even physically (face-wise, clothes etc), it's really just about sex most of the time.

i agree there is more deception with a full-blown affair and the fact he's developed emotional ties when the only ones he should have are with you. but if a man is unhappy and not satisfied to the point he feels like he needs to go to a prostitute or even the town ho, then he needs to do his woman a favour and just leave all together. instead of doing his dirty business and bringing her a "nice surprise" in the form of an std back home. thinking it's better to go outside to a professional for sex as opposed of developing a relationship with another woman is still a warped mindset and it's wrong.

That is true, even though as a woman I had a hard time typing that. I think I'd prefer it being a pro because then maybe she was doing some freak nasty stuff that I don't want to do. But now he has a dirty d*ck and I just can't hang with that.
 
Any of the options will lead to violence.

On a good day, with sedatives involved, I can maybe see the "logic" of preferring a pro over someone he'd be emotionally vested in. The pros in my frame of reference are not the average street worker. They're required to undergo more health tests than any one of us. So I can see how under certain circumstances that option might perhaps... maybe... somehow... be a comfort to the person being cheated on.
 
A cheat is a cheat as far as I'm concerned. It would feel the same if he screwed a prostitute or a family member. Either way, I would be hurt.
