Cats do the funniest things! As far as why she deliberately gets in your way while you're reading, etc., is because she wants your full attention. My cat (RIP) always tried to get my attention any time I was using my computer and not looking at him.

My kids do that...I could be there in front of them like a coffee table for hours with full attention..but the moment I sit down at the computer or get the phone...they are in my grill like cats.
