You will not believe what this kitten did...

I adopted an abandoned kitten in April. She's now bigger, calmer, and basically my baby. She has a odd habit of dry nursing on my fuzzy blanket or robe because she was abandoned so young. I don't mind it, because their basically big pacifiers I can use to make her calm down and sleep. She also seems to deliberately get in my way when I'm reading a book or using my Ipod touch. I don't really know why, but it's fine.

So tonight I'm lying on the bed, trying to read, and she does her usual sitting on my chest and blocking my view. I move off me to sit behind me so she can nurse on the blanket instead. Then I notice a little tugging on one of my twist, so I assume she's got one caught in her paw by accident. So I take it from her and see that it's covered in spit.

Oh god, EW!

She was sucking on my twist! She's never done that before. Sigh... Looks like I'll be scarfing around her from now on.

Cats do the funniest things! As far as why she deliberately gets in your way while you're reading, etc., is because she wants your full attention. My cat (RIP) always tried to get my attention any time I was using my computer and not looking at him.

Wow... she's charms everyone.

Apparently hand raised kittens are incredibly affectionate. I've never had one nearly as sweet as her. Occasional I have to pull her from my clothes hamper and my duffle bag. She likes to nap in my clothes. Sigh...

She "allows" me to use my computer so long as I'm watching a video she can watch too. I don't know when she started watching vids. Normally she's loves to dry nurse me when I'm in my fuzzy robe. Normally my arm or back. I've haven't worn it for a few days, so I didn't think anything of it. Apparently she misses it more than I thought. What was surprise it how much of it was in her mouth. About 3 inches! It's a choking hazard, so I won't be taking any risk.

Aww she so loves her mommy! I had a kitten that liked to suck on my hair in my sleep. He would go to sleep with his little body curled around the top of my head and every morning I would have to pull my hair out of his mouth A scarf will help but she may suck on that too!

I had a kitten that used to dry nurse this stuffed panda I had. He was black and white so I guess he assumed the panda was mom. I put the panda in his area and he loved it. He was really friendly and playful too. Not tempermental like other cats I've known. This is too cute. Yea I would scarf wouldn't want her to choke. Or if you're not too attached to the robe keep it out for her at all times.

Awww! Wittle kitty is so cute! I love stuff like that. When I get bored I get really antsy and annoying to other ppl. So my SO pulls up live streams or other videos of animals to keep me entertained lol. Last time it was a litter of baby squirrels and a bunch of cocker spaniel puppies. Me loves the animals

My Millhouse used to do the samethings. My childhood cat Porsha used to groom(lick) my eyebrows and edges, looking back I wonder why I never put together the fact that she licks her butt lmao.

Awww, too cute! Sounds like my little pride of kitties. I have four; three of them were hand-raised by me from the time they were about six weeks. Two of them are brother and sister; they are full grown and the girl weighs about 5 and a half pounds, her brother weighs 15! The three who were raised together from kittenhood are the best of friends. They love to groom each other as well as me, and they love to nom on my hair when its down and they can get at it.

One of them, my little Oriental mix, also likes to suckle on towels and blankets if given the chance. It's called wool sucking, although they can suck on any fiber they prefer, and it's more common than you think, particularly among kittens who were abandoned when very young.

As for my older kitty, we found each other when she was about 3, and she must have had a hard life before then, as she was very skittish and standoffish for a long time. The friendliness of the younger kits is slowly bringing her around though, and she's becoming more a part of the family as time goes by.

My cats have played with my twists and my extensions too. The funniest was when I was redoing my braids as I watched TV and I'd get up and go do something (like load the dryer) and return to watch TV and do my hair. Somewhere in that "confusion" I lost an extension that I'd just taken out. I ended up just getting more hair from the bunch left when I put the braids in--instead of reusing the one I took out coz I couldn't find it. When I went to scoop the litterbox, I found one of the cheeky t'ieves had buried it in their box.

ETA @empressri, just saw that a little Qhemet "accidentally" got into you mouth. You sticking to that story huh?

I need to think of a believable one to considering my hair isn't long enough to be accidentally getting in my mouth. :scratchch

Nonie....my hair is very long and stretched out when styling lol. so yes im sticking to my story!
