Yes, for Christmas. I'd worn my short bob wig for Thanksgiving and they had no clue my hair had grown how it did. I wore it down for the "early" Christmas dinner (since I was heading to Florida for Christmas) My cousin, who came UP from Florida saw me and though I hadn't seen her for months, the first thing out her mouth wasn't a "HOW ARE YOU?" It was a laugh and a "Is that ALL your hair?"
When I told her it was, she did a double take. LOL.
When I came off the train, my sister and 3 year old nephew were waiting for me. My nephew spotted me right away and dashed towards me but my sister, whom I have not seen in a year didn't recognize me at all with all my "thick long hair flying."
My aunt insisted on me taking my hair out of my updo so she could see the length and touch it.
And even in my updo or braid outs, my sister's inlaws commented on the length.
All in all, I guess I shocked a few people! I wanna shock MYSELF in 09!!
