What is a black rinse? By the way, I'm a sucker for midnight black hair as well. I want to make my hair darker but at the same time have hues of bluish light reflect off of it .

A rinse is a semi permanant dye that rinses out over time. I've never had a permanant dye. I did have a black rinse once upon a time that had a blue hue in the sun. I think it was Jazzin. I liked it when my hair was fresh, but as the rinse washed out it left a green hue to my ahir when I was in the sun . Now I only get black rinses that have a red undertone so it doesn't cast green when it's getting old.
