I'm not sure where my hair fits in:sad: It's not too thin, but not that thick either, but I do cowash 2-3 times a week.

I guess I am in the ten percent with thick hair who cannot get behind cowashing. It seems to be awesome for every head 'cept mine. :(

I think cowashing does help your mositure game out tremendously and help your strands to grow more healthy and thicker. Some classmates haven't seen me since high school. They were like :wow: when they saw me this week. They said my hair did a complete 360. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :look: I LOVE cowashing though!

Your hair's THICK already :-)
I'm a cowasher too... only been doing so for about 3 months but my hair LOVES it :-)
I have fine strands though... but my hair's kinda thick as a whole...

Wow, that is noteworthy! I'm surely glad I decided to hop on board with cowashing.....one day.

Daily co-washing and texlaxing has really helped with not only thickness but with retaining lenght. Also daily or 95% of bunning has helped not only me, but other women as well.

With all these BEAUTIFUL heads of hair checking in here I think I need to jump on this cowashing train quick!

Quick as in... off to cowash right now...

What's a 10%-er?

I'm a cowasher too. :yep: The moisture is sickening. I also don't use a lot of heat, so that combined with the air drying makes my hair blow up like a balloon. :giggle:

Outside of the fact that if you retain more strands you will have thicker hair, I think thickness, for the most part, is a genetic thing. I'm sure cowashing helps with retention because it provides moisture, which leads to more strands and therefore thicker hair. But some people just have less dense hair or thinner strands and no amount of cowashing (or even 100% retention) is going to make it thick.

My hair is genetically thin... but co washing has helped some -- and the care that I now give it...

just curious on the stipulations on that :

are we talkin naturals? texlaxers? relaxed heads?

are these individuals genetically on nongenetically inclined to have thick hair?

Just sayin cause when I cowashed often(non geneticaly inclined) I didn't get thick hair, but I did get beautifully moisturized hair. My thickness came when I stretched (more on the natural side) - but maybe I'm not the norm.

i really think the thickness/thiness is genetics i dont know if there is any help for these but thats just my opinion

I think thickness is genetics, b/c my hair has always been thick. But I do think that the co-washing kept my hair hydrated which led to retention.
I am texlaxed and when I airdry or do a braid out my hair looks monster thick.

i (personally) don't believe that there is any correlation between co-washing and having thick hair :roadrunner:
