I'm transitioning and i've noticed all my products contain protein..i've hear quite a few time that this is bad. But i don't really notice brittleness with my hair. Every 6 weeks i do the Aphogee treatment even when i dont really see any breakage. Since i'm using so many products with protein do you think it'd be ok to skip the Apohgee treatment? Also do you think the light protein in all my products is the reason why my hair doesn't feel as great and is kind of dry 2 days after it hasn't been washed? I want to start co-washing less but my hair just doesn't feel as good 2 days after a co-wash.

yes it could be the reason..but what products with protein are u referring to...and what types of protein are in them?

i've noticed that all my deep conditioners contain 'egg protein', a lot of hydrolyzed wheat, and vegetable protein. It's in all of my conditioners and everything i co wash with pretty much.

I guess i'm just gonna start using these less and find things without any protein to see what happens.

The only "light" protein that I trust is Hydrolzyed Silk Protein -- all of the good, none of the bad.
