Well I am trying to stay positive too. But this is positively Whack advise

Trying to stay positive so I stayed with the objective of reading what she wrote. Trying not to comment about the hair and hair line.

Not sure how the leap from shampoo to Dawn was made but again, keeping it positive.

I will go there and read but I only apply what seems logical to me. My hair is fine and plain shampoo will practically strip it clean on just one wash... I barely use that so no way would I put dish washing liquid in my hair... I love co-washing though...it is the thing! - I vote no

Dawn? dish washing liquid? lol yeah, probably not. I didn't even finish reading the rest of the article...

I don't think she is a licensed hair stylist, or is she? Anyone can give advice, but I will not be taking it

No, not really and looking at her hair too. Hmm... I am not really trying to be rude but you find a lot of people making Youtube videos about hair and their hair is questionable or they should wait until they achieve a certain goal.

Did I NOT see someone have a thread on laundry detergent as a shampoo before? I could have sworn I have so dawn isnt THAT far off. I would never use either of them though.

I can agree. I dont take much advice from those that have crappy looking
unhealthy hair. :ohwell:

Ok, like everyone else, USE DAWN????? Do you know what dawn can do to your hair, if I have to put lotion on my hands after I use dawn, I don't even want to think about what it will do to my hair......and I don't agree with her, and I really can't see her hair, but I know this is wrong, but I based my hair decisions based on a person's hair, whether it's relaxed, long, and healthy or natural, long, and healthy; relaxed, short, and healthy or natural, short, and healthy.....if you hair is just healthy then I might listen to what you have to say and then I might consider! I respect the fact that she's trying...but don't give out BAD information like using Dawn to remove olive oil....

The picture has nothing to do with her comment. With that being said, I would not take her advice as she completely through me off with using Dawn. That can be completely drying to hands when washing dishes, so imagine it on your head.:nono:

Yes, I would. She's describing how to rinse olive oil of your hair and what works for HER.

Would I take NATURAL HAIR ADVICE from her - NO.

I respect peeps that go out of their way to show and teach their knowledge to folks on the internet. The advice may not be the "best", but at least she's TRYING to help.

She is telling People to use DAWN on their hair. Then you are conteractive in their approach to softer hair. Why use the olive oil then use a harsh soap to wash it out.

Strange. But look at her hair.

Great points...and yes, I knew I wouldn't take her advice before I knew what it was because her hair looks a serious mess! She has a nerve telling people to use dishwashing liquid to wash their hair. Just when I thought I'd heard all the craziness I could bear to hear.

when I read this
Things You'll Need:
Dawn dish-washing soap
Shampoo
Vinegar
Baking soda
Baby shampoo
Prell
Cornstarch

I first thought

then

but then I realize how hilarious her advice was. She deserves 1/2 star

But I like her other article especially:
How to Sell a Home to a Son
How to Determine if you Will Have Twins
How to Get Rid of Fleas in a House With a Newborn Baby
How to Write a Personal Journal
How to Get Pregnant After an IUD
How to Play Jenga as a Drinking Game
How to Build a Star Trek Reference Library

Methinks you are not seeing her grand expertise as a hair guru. :lachen:

I wouldn't take advice from her simply coz I'm happy with my KISS regimen.

BTW, the Dawn thing isn't that shocking to me. Maybe it's because I'm not afraid of using shampoo twice a week, or maybe it's because I remember Dawn (yes the dish-washing liquid) being an excellent facial wash. I am trying to remember where I learned that, and even I have used it. Also when I was considering entering my cats in cat shows (never did), Dawn was one of the products recommended for a silky coat. I guess removing oil completely was part of the secret so the cat hair was fluffy and not stuck together.

I don't think you need to be that extra though just to remove EVOO. But if I needed to clarify, and didn't have a shampoo that could get the job done, I'd sooner use Dawn than baking soda. Baking soda was horrible on my face (Dawn wasn't) and it was even worse on my hair (haven't tried Dawn, and won't be trying it except in dire emergency and absence of shampoo).

I didnt even read the whole article, after I read that step one called for Dawn dish liquid I didnt need to read any further.

NOPE....I wouldnt listen to a word she has to say!!!!

We need to give her Cathy's Howse book and forward her the articles on using gentle shampoos for her hair. EVOO doesn't need to be rinsed out like that. Why put it in? But, whatever.

This is interesting I just clicked on her name and her about me page came up. This is what was stated if she is Danielle

About Me: In April 2003, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of West Florida. While pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, I was named the recipient of 2002-2003 Delta Pi Scholarship Key, which is given to the student with highest academic average for four years of study in business administration.

I cant agree with this. there are quite a few youtubers that I started watching when they had either just BCd or had SL hair ...such as kimmaytube, Naptural85 and Nikkimae2003 just to name a few.

As for using dawn, this is used by environmental clean up crews to wash oil from animals who have been caught in oil slicks.... its effective in cutting grease/oil and generally doesnt irritate the skin on the animals. :yep:

all she had to add was to use a moistrizing deep conditioner after
