Last night I went to the store and bought some hair supplies...I found the mesh rollers *i think i got them too big, but i didn't get to use them*, Colourshines in coffee bean, and Aphogee.

So, my plan is to wash my hair *first wash after phyto*, use the aphogee, and put in a colorshines. So everything is going well, I wash with Nioxin, I apply the Aphogee, I do the directions for applying tint, so I apply the aphogee let harden under the dryer, rinse out, apply the tint *colorshines* and get under the dryer.

So, I'm in my bedroom with the tv going, the dryer going, and my space heater going. Suddenly everything goes black, I'm thinking my power went out until I look in my hallway and see the light on. I BLEW THE FUSES IN MY BEDROOM!!! So, I schlep my dryer into the living room and continue my colorshines treatment. I go into the bathroom to wash the colorshines out and I flip the switch, NOTHING! Apparently the bedroom and bathroom fuses are connected. So, I have to do everything in the dark to the light of the hallway. This rules out rollersetting, esp. with rollers I've never used before, so I do the scarf method.

This morning I have an important work event to go to and I have no electricity in my bathroom, so I bump my hair with the ceramic in my kitchen while looking in the handheld mirror. *Did I say I woke up late because in moving my alarm clock I accidently set it for PM instead of AM* So, I only have time to do the back bottom portion of my hair and I put the rest up in a French Twist.

I almost fall in my complex because of lingering ice and I'm wearing heels instead of the Timbs I wore the other day since I'm going to an event. I get to the event about 5 minutes late & am directed to the wrong table, but hey this guy sitting there was happy about it. During the break at 10:15, I move to my table. I was telling my co-worker in the bathroom line about my night and morning and happily this other lady in line said I looked good, esp. to have done all this in the dark!

So, anywho Kaddy you were right the coffee bean colorshines, does look black in my hair...although I've still only looked into a lighted bathroom once today! My hair felt amazing after my first wash with Phyto and I'm alive, so all is well. :)

Don't make threads with titles like that!!!!! I thought you were about to say someone cut your hair, or that you bumped into something in the dark while the Aphogee was hard and cracked half of your hair off!

Whew! *wiping sweat from brow as blood pressure goes back to normal*

Sorry to scare you Um.

But this morning I kept thinking this is the worst morning ever. I went to this Women on the World Conference with all these great women speakers and I wanted to look my best. I had even bought a new shirt yesterday and then my power goes out and I have to guess how I look! :(

LOL you aren't kidding Um,

Shoot i just knew she had the aphogee in her hair when her fuses blew and that she was going to tell us something horrible!

Glad to see everything ended up fine and you still was looking good!

Thanks, I think I got some of the new Aphogee the smell wasn't as bad and it wasn't as runny. It also rinsed out well so that even before I conditioned my hair, my hair didn't tangle when I was putting in the Colorshines. :)

ETA: I know half of this is hair related and the other half isn't sorry! :look:

Glad you're well K.

Stuff like that's happened to me before. Could you have worn a wig? It could come in handy on a bad hair day.

Ms. K...I was on my way to DC to beat you for giving me a heart-attack but I realized that it was 5:00...so you know what that means..........Its quitting time..... :lachen: I ain't gotta go home but I gotta get the H*ll Outta Here!!!!!! On a serious note...glad everything worked out for you!!!!!!! You better had brought your resume with you..........and if you didn't :whip:

OK, Ms_K I am all like "oh no" while I am reading and then I see that you had a happy ending so I am happy for you.

There was no way for you to access your fuse in your apt?

I am glad you liked the coffee bean, I knew that would be better than using one that is jet black.

Woo! I thought you were about to say you're a BALD new woman Ms. K! I'm glad things worked out for you though!

Ms K, that happens a lot in my house since my neices moved in last Sept. What we do is go to fuse box and turned everything to off for a min or so and then flip the switches back on and then we get electricity.

My apartment is old so in the fuse box are actual fuse bulbs, not the switches. So, they had to replace my fuse bulbs. :)

At the Beauty shop/Supply at PG Plaza Mall, not the one inside near the Target, the one you can only get to from outside. But I found out who they're made by and I'm going to see if I can order some straight from the source, on the package it listed all the sizes and they have big ones, too. I got the 1 & 1/2 (lavendar) inch ones, but I'm thinking I should have bought the 1" ones (blue).
