Workout hair!

How do you all wear your hair when working out? How often do you wash when working out?

I sweat A LOT when I work out and the results of that is salty scalp, which equals dry hair! I've realized my hair does not like being washed/cowashed too much, I end up with too many tangles. How are you ladies cleaning your hair and scalp after workouts?
 
BUNS:) I normally alternate washing and rinsing every other day to avoid build up. I probably should at least rinse everyday since I sweat pretty bad too but I am scared of the extra manipulation
 
OP, How long is your hair?

In the past after a work out I would take a damp washcloth, spritz it with Paul Mitchell refreshing spray, and wipe my scalp. I dunno, felt like it kept my scalp cleaner.

I started working out again last week in the AM. I kept my hair wrapped in a silky satin scarf.. my hair did not look good during the week but it wasn't dry at all. Weird. Dunno if the sweat hurt or helped it in a way.
 
My hair stays wet. It was ok when it waved up, then i could wear wash and go. But now it doesn't (I'm relaxed, it got over straightened some time ago) so I have to wear wet buns and ponytail braids and wet french twists.
 
I am going to experiment this week with keeping a ponytail braid in during the workout, and rinsing it with the braid still in, and then ringing out with hands and wrapping with towel to reduce manipulation. I'm one of those folks who will soak all 26 inches of hair from root to tip in one workout. Yuck.
 
Two strand twist in a bun. If my hair is loose I will put it in a pony tail and put a few twist in the pony tail then bun it.
