Hi ladies,
First I gotta say that I have learned so much from this site, and I apprieciate all the advice that I have been given so far. I'm new to the board, so please dont be mad if I am asking a question that has already been asked. I am currently doing the no heat challenge, by twisting or braiding my hair at night in 8-9 sections and then going to work with the resulting twist or braid out. My problem is that I run before I go to work in the morning, making my hair wet and puffy when I take the twists out. I tried putting a sweatband around my temples this morning and that didn't help. Do you have any suggestions? I cant quit my morning workouts, but then I cant go to work looking like a hot mess either.... PLEASE HELP!!!

TIA

Perhaps you should (1) coat your strands with a creamy leav in conditioners and some oil before you run or/and (2) cover your head with a scarf before while you run, to keep the strands laying neatly on the head and to absorb sweat.

I agree here, I did not realize you untwist then wet.

/images/graemlins/clap.gif Thanks ladies for responding quickly. I'll try to wear a scarf tomorrow to see if it can absorb the sweat, and as far as allowing it to dry, I am natural so the only way to dry my hair before leaving is to sit under my dryer for 20 minutes or so. Its an option, but I already get up at 5:30 in the morning to run, I would have to get up at 5 /images/graemlins/shocked.gif to get that accomplished and still get to work. Id rather wear a ponytail instead... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

keep your twists in until you get to the parking lot at work. untwist in your car or in the bathroom if you are wanting to use a big mirror.
I must say i envy your sweat ability I have to work out forever b4 I get to that point
