Why have I been ignored today?

I only asked two questions.

Anyone would think I was asking for a million dollars.

I'm not being rude, but I find it annoying, i'm just trying to achieve nice hair like the rest of you, and to be fair, I have received help, although, not as much as 'oldies' but today has really upset me.

Must be hormones.

Sometimes it takes some time for people to respond, but we get to it. I strongly doubt people are purposely ignoring you

I'm sorry you feel that way Char. Sometimes people either just don't see your post, or they don't know enough about the subject matter to give advice. I'm sure it's nothing personal.

are you sending PM's? i know when i get PM's i read them right away but depending on my time i sometimes wait to answer them until i can give the person a detailed reply

maybe this was the case for them too. I know if i read a PM right before i walk out the door or go to work that it'll most likely take me a day to reply. -- jainygirl

No, I think she's talking about her posts. I just answered one. To find the threads in question, click on her name to see her profile then click on the link "Show User's Posts" or whatever it says, in her profile. You can then see her latest posts and see if you can answer any of them that you might've missed.

CharUK, sometimes threads get pushed to the bottom before we see them, so just bump up the one you need an answer to...so that it's visible when someone who knows the answer logs on.

I was thinking the same thing, sometimes post get bumped down to the 3rd or 4th page before you know it and if most people only view the 1st and 2nd page they won't see your posts-I know it happens to me most of the time! I just reviewed all of your posts and I see why I never replied to any of them, b/c I don't know any ansewers that would help you, which is probably why other people haven't replied either.

That's true CharUK. I haven't seen your posts at all yet. Many of us get lost in the shuffle, depending on all the activity on the board. It's great that you said something to us though and brought it out into the open rather than kept it inside.

This way you now know it's nothing personal.

Also, are you asking repetitive questions? Sometimes people ask questions that have been asked so many times that you can usually find it in the search

Sorry about being ignored. I know I only answer questions I can give some advice. Sometimes I read just the first page, and then sometimes I just read posts and am too lazy to type anything. Sorry just my idiosyncracies.

I'm also guilty of reading the first page sometimes.

As for a wave noveau I've never had one so I don't want to jack you up.

What I have noticed on here that it depends on the time of day you post questions. I think this board is most active after work hours

. I have also noticed that on weekends, it's a hit or miss situation because most folks are not on as much.

Char, alot of times my posts "tank" big time too. If my question is really important, I will find it and bump it up. You're not the only one who's had this happen. Just be persistent and keep asking.

I think the key to get a post rolling is to post in the morning and to be able to contribute to it as well. Like you can't post aquestion and not be available to disucss others suggestions, wheras in the OT you are more likely telling a story and the thread can usually carry itself from there.
