Who's selling bootleg products to the natchal hair community?!

just from the look of the website I would have never purchased it. Also she has a ton of disclaimers listed. 2nd red flag. If someone proceeds forward with applying this unknown potion to their hair or scalp.. good luck.

It is a buy at your own risk situation if someone purchases it. Alot of things on the internet are like that. Its a buyer beware situation. Even products that for example are bottled as paul mitchell may be fake if purchased from an unauthorized vendor over the internet.

She can have all the disclaimers she likes...when someone SUES her, and they can because she's not supposed to be ReSelling patented products mixed up into her own little concoction, she will be crying real tears. And that lawsuit could come with jail time...

Yes :clapping: @ the bolded.

How do people not understand that?! I mean lets say I take some Qhemet Biologics Heavy Cream and mix it with water, Crisco, Monistat and Acutane (I couldn't think of another product :look:) and had the nerve to sell it, would y'all be ok with that? Heck no! And what she's doing is no different.

Hurry, hurry get your hair acne creme here. Disclaimer: people that have used this creme for over two weeks, turn orange, but they are well moisturized and have a lot of slip :lachen:

I think the worst part of this is that most sell recipes that they worked on and perfected for extensive periods of time. Learned how to preserve, found a favorite scent, and have real pride in the products they make for us.

We have no idea if her products are properly preserved, or safe because she doesn't know what she is working with.

^^This. Lawd forbid somebody leaves this stuff in their car on a hot day and the mess blows up :lachen:

I think the proper way to do it would have been to go private label and reverse formulate the stuff she wanted to use. Then she could have gotten it tested by a lab to confirm that the product is stable and won't cause any reactions.

Don't make me break out my e-shank.

Yeah I have it, and like I said, I can't promise if it made my hair grow or not, but the consistency of it IS nice. With all this hair on my head I don't need no damn minoxidil.

The end.

... Hurriedly searching through the LHCF 'Help' thread for the definition of e-shank...

lmao!!! like a real shank, but I'd have to extend the long arm of the e-law to come through this computer screen for ya!

But seriously, the consistency is DAMN GOOD, I won't even lie. Everyone at my house kept poking at it, wanting to play with it. But I don't fks with minoxidil so if I were to use it regularly, it would be the butter without.

Shame on me but I'm actually interested in buying this LOL

She should go with a private wholesale manufacturer and create her own formula using a conditioner base.

empressri

So did the lady reach out to you and DenimPixie for a review of her product?

looking at her YT videos, seems as if she used to use minoxidil and got good results. So i guess she decided to whip it up with some of her fave products and ingredients.

I have some concerns though ... I used minoxidil about 12 years ago and Im sure it said to avoid using on the length of hair, also remember it being very drying ,,,, even though its way down on her list of ingredients I wonder if it will have any effects on the hair shaft.

major concern with her recommending use on 1 year olds .... she is neither a chemist /pharmacist nor a physician

:lachen: :lachen: sad thing is someone would still buy it anyway!

There are a LOT of people making stuff out of their homes. A TON. It's become a bit of the norm now I've noticed. I can only think of one black owned business that actually uses a lab. (I'm talking about smaller companies though, not big lines like shea moisture or such)

nothing wrong with making stuff out of your home to sell .... under the proper conditions.

Well you might as well add Quench and Kim Gray to the list of people to not buy products from due to the fact you will get your money taken with no product being delivered. It's all over her Facebook page with upset customers either wanting their money back or their products. One person ordered back in Dec and still haven't received anything after a bunch of empty promises. Another spent $113 with nothing to show for it. It's a shame that people will start businesses and make a bad name for others who are trying to do the same.

Rogaine is $30 and Lekair is $2. It's a shame these people were ripped off like this. It seems like there are as many small business that care about the customer as there are ones that only want to make a buck and bounce. What I don't understand is the owner doesn't even have much hair herself.

Update to add HH.
If products are being made without real measurements and lacking preservatives causing mold there is no difference to me. Not to mention unsanitary pots and questionable "staff" without hair nets or gloves. Negligence results in potential endangerment period.
