White guy at a party tells me that I need to straighten my hair

this happens to my friend all the time. she has waist length natural hair (like 3b) and everyone always tells her to straighten it and that she looks better when its straight. even her boyfriend tells her he wants to see her hair straight. i just tell her to wear it how she likes.
