I literally just used Silk Elements lye mild and it kind of burned! I had rinse immediately and didn't get anytime to smooth. I'm deep conditioning at the moment but I pretty much figure my hair will not be very straight. :( I have been having scalp issues (itchy) so I think all that irritation is why it burned so much on one side (??)

Sometime this weekend, I will be Self-Relaxing and making the Switch from Alter Ego Shea Butter Lye to Mizani Butter Blends Lye Regular. No particular reason (love the Linange just want to try MBB).:look:

I have been lightly basing with Summit Sensitive Scalp since Wednesday.:lachen:

You're doing it this weekend too? I'm using the MBB, but I got the mild for fine/color treated hair. I haven't based (basted?) yet because the MBB won't arrive until tomorrow.

I'm just doing it as a precautionary measure, because in a variety of threads various posters said: they liked/loved the results but it "burned":burn:

And I know I burn quickly.:burning:

So, I just wanted to add extra-added that safe-guard.:lachen:

How did you like the MBB compared to the Linange?

Linange Shea Butter Lye. This is my 2nd time. So far so good! I have all products this time. Last time I did not have the neutralizing conditioner but my hair still came out good. This time I think it came out better because my self-relaxing has improved from last time. :yep:

I am not finished yet!
