Which do you prefer? Washing your hair at the sink or in the shower?

I wash either 1. Leaning backwards over the tub with a hand held sprayer sitting on a low step stool, or 2. In the shower but doing my DC before so that I only have to be in there once.

I prefer to wash in the shower. But if I need to do it real quick I'll just wash it in the sink. Since my hair is short, it doesn't really matter. When I was relaxed I would get tangles if I washed in the sink.

Shower b/c I can style my hair under the water pressure and lose less hair that way. I also have a detachable showerhead which is great.

I always wash my hair in the shower; I actually enjoy it. To prevent the "jumping in and out thing," I DC on dry hair, get in the shower to wash myself, then rinse out DC, then shampoo. Sooo much easier.

I do use the sink to rinse out my relaxer, though, so that it doesn't run down my body.

Your hair is really growing!!! Great progress chica :yep:

Sink. It's easier to clean and I'm afraid I'll clog the drain over time if I do it in the tub.

Shower!!!!

In my pre-LHCF days when my hair was neck length I washed in the sink with no problems, now since my hair has grown I can't do that I will get tangles and knots!

I do everything exactly the same!

Sink 90% of the time. I wash my hair in braided sections, so tangling isn’t an issue for me. :)

ITA. I prefer the sink. I broke down for a few months and washed my hair in the shower. It worked really well but I really hate how it feels, I am not a shower person, I love taking baths. After a few months I went back to the sink, so far so good, so long as I do it in sections, I'm good.

During the week I usually use the sink...If I wash during the weekends I'll DC on dry hair and just finish up everything in the shower. The sink is easier until I get about 10 weeks post :ohwell:

Shower only for me. If I use the sink to wash my hair, it quickly turns into a matted bird's nest.

Last time I washed me hair in my sink I pulled a muscle in my back. My sister had to leave her house which was 30 minutes away on a Sunday evening to come help me finish my hair.:nono::ohwell::blush:

I have been doing my hair in the shower every since that incident!

Ouch! I do have to watch how I position myself or my back does get a little sore, dang now you got me rethinking my position again:sad:, I don't want to hurt my back:nono:.

My hair is still short enough I like to wash in the sink. Also my shower has horribly crappy water pressure and I get annoyed. I get a better rinse in the sink.

I wash my hair while bending over the side of the tub.

I've noticed that its been harder to wash it at this length. I may have to try washing in the shower again.
