My new year hair resolution is to find a regimen that works for me to grow my hair to APL. I have kept my hair in braids most of 2007 so in 2008, Im going to try to grow my hair without braids and find a good regimen for my hair.
I second that! My goal is to find a regimen fit for my hair by not necessarily jumping on all the bandwagons but taking bits and pieces from all the knowledge and advice I have gotten from the board! Hopefully this year I will see the results I am looking for!
Do not sleep on my hair...make sure it's covered every night.
Scalp massages at least every other night.
Start deep conditioning with heat again at least once a week.
Use it up, make do, get rid of it. I will not buy any new hair products. The only exception may be oils (evo, castor, jojoba, emu) and Porosity Control as it does for my hair what other products currently in my stash can not and that's restore the pH balance in my hair. I will use my VS So Sexy sparingly as to not have to replace it any time too soon. I will also have to replenish my MN supply.
Take my vitamins...they are part of the use it, make do, get rid of it...
I think I could go through 2008 without buying another hair product and still have bottles of stuff leftover this time next year.
I will get myself a standing hair dryer. I'm praying that I will have the money to get in on the Pibbs deal my lhcf sisters have put together. That will make the dc's with heat a lot easier.
That's all I can think of right now....there may be more. But it helps a lot to have put this in black and white. I feel more committed to it knowing that I just told 5000 people.
I have every intention of making BSL in 2008. There really is nothing stopping me but me.
keep dcing in a heating cap and sealing with jbco wash once a week keep moisturizer in my hair doing what i am doing it working for mei come out of braids in june but dont know if i will prem or stay in braids another year yet?? and to take better care of my templeshope to be full shouder in 08
Mine is that I will only trim 1-2 times this year with each trim being no more than 1/4- to 1/2" each. I lost about 3-4 inches this year unnecessarilyerplexed
1st Goal - Make it to BSL
2nd Goal - Make it to Midback length
3rd Goal - Keep my hair wrapped at night
4th Goal - Grow bangs to chin length and have the rest of my hair 1 length
My hair resolutions include:
-maintaining my very simple regimen
-make it to MBL in Dec 08
-enjoying my hair in the New Year, i.e. wearing it out and not worrying myself sick that it's going to fall out or get split ends
Find a regimen that really and consistently works for my hair and be able to better "interpret" what my hair needs on a day-to-day week-to-week basis. I'm gonna try not to jump from product to product without giving these products sufficient time to do their thing. Just try to have healthy hair and deal with length as and when it comes....
On a side note: Moni-Keer your hair is off the hook girl - I was drooling over your fotki. I hope my hair will be that healthy and long one day!
I will restock on MN cream - use it on my daughter's hair too
and compare my growth to her growth.
(Don't worry she's twenty years old)
I got my DVD from Macherie Amour (must watch and commit to memory)
I got my hair rolling products (CHI silk infusion and NTM leave in)
and Pantene's R&N setting lotion( has good stuff)
Got magnetic and Wire rollers
Roller pins
Double pronged roller clips. I will learn to rollerset!!
To not ***** about my hair; I think I've b*tched about my hair more in the past week than I have in six months to a year. Now that I've gotten it out my system, I'm gonna shut up about it and focus on other things.
Continue the Sylver method during the warm months.
Simplify regimen more than I already have, make some needed tweaks and just try to have healthier hair even moreso than I did in '07.
