How are you ladies getting the glaze to work? It looks great when I first apply it, but after a couple hours it melts away and my edges start waving at everybody:confused:

I'm not sure about that edges thing yet, I have a seprate thread going on that one.... I'm finding though that over time ....since I was fresh out of braids forever virgin type...(the worst kind) my hair is calming down? or I'm learning how to treat it better, or the supplements I am taking are kicking in or something. But I'm liking my hair more and more!

My favs are (sorry, couldn't just pick one)

DR11
Oil Recovery Moisturizer
Mango Butter

I love them all!

*still trying to figure out how to get that glaze to work for me. No success with it yet.*

I found this to be true on my hair too.
Priestess are you seeing a pattern here? Our hair likes a lot of the same things!:D

You got it girl, that Glaze can be fussy if you don't work it right!

Between that Stiff Head and the Glaze, our edges are all set. Great heads think alike!

Letitia and In Jesus Name, are you guys using the Glaze on dry hair? Because when I first purchased this, and tried it on dry hair it did absolutely nothing. Those edges popped right back up in no time. It only works on damp hair for me and it helps to brush the edges down to to really pack in the product for a sleek look. HTH ;)

Thanks. Yes, I was using it on dry hair. I will try your way.

its all about their relaxers! bloody excellent! my hair doesnt even SEEM relaxed, its like THIS is my natural texture. even when i abused my hair this relaxer still produced a great texture and shine. i also dont get any breakage or burns, scabs whatever. i leave it on for 15-20 mins and i'm texlaxed as i have waves not straight hair. even when i use heat i have strands that are very wavy all the way down. i could preech al lday, but if iu want more info just holla. i use the sensitive one (NO LYE)

Just purchased Mango butter the other day and I am in love w/ it so far. I used it the first day I had my hair blown out and it made it so soft for the few days I stayed away from washing it. The true test is using it after I wash it w/ all of this new growth!!!

Ya'll just have to try QP's Scalp Stimulating Shampoo it has Eucaliptus and or Rosemary in it and gives your scalp this invigorating, fresh and tingly feeling. Like that tingly fresh feeling after you have used some SCOPE when brushing your teeth in the morning. LOL IT acts as a clarifying 'poo but DOES NOT dry your hair out. I usually use it as a first lather before using my CON 'poo

I love mango butter- it's the only product that really lays down the NG for me and adds shine too. I also like the Recovery moisture lotion, the wax, and DPR 11.

Elasta Products are my staples closely followed by Surge and Profectiv products.

CREME CONDITIONG SHAMPOO - I always use this AFTER I use
BODYFYING SHAMPOO - It will strip the fur off a squirrel. If you have product in your hair weighing it down, this will remove it.
STOP ACTION NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO - Always use it 1 -2 washes after a relaxer, had a colour warning too, so if the relaxer is still in there will turn pink, for ANY relaxer you use
H-TWO - My hair loves this!

Yes, that stuff is the TRUTH!! I love that and their Anti-Breakage serum.

I really like the BCS. The DPR was not bad...it wasn't that great on my relaxed hair but I'm going to test it on my natural hair and see. I also liked the recovery and I want to try the H-Two.

I've just started using the Recovery Oil Moisturizer. I'm not sure what benefits I'm getting but it's been the best oil moisturizer I've tried that doesn't make my hair feel too wet or too weighed down. I feel like its still getting it moisturized though, just without the side effects.

For those using the mango butter to lay down your edges, how do you do this?
