I learned that it's not so much the act that I can't forgive, it's the lost peace of mind that would break the relationship.
That or my psycho, paranoid, PI, inquisitor behavior that would drive him away. Either way, the relationship we once had would be no longer.

ETA: I know of someone who caries a relationship like this with a young lady overseas.
He's not emotionally satisfied with his gf so seeks emotional distractions until his relationship improves. He says without that distraction, he would be is constant state of hurt/sadness. The overseas girl gives him a little pep in his step, a little self-esteem and ego stroking without being 100% unfaithful....to him.

Yes my peace of mind is more important than anything, once that goes out the window with a woman even if the relationship is salvaged I believe the woman will never be fully emotionally with that man. Her mind will always wonder over the smallest incident.
