what was your starting length and what is it now?

When I started lurking I was SL relaxed. I did the BC in August 2006 down to an inch of hair... and now I'm at the length shown in my siggy.

The shortest my hair has ever been was NL in 2002 (scissor happy stylist), before I was trying to grow it long or knew about LHCF.
When I found LHCF and started trying to grow it long was 2007 and it was between SL and APL.
Now it's MBL and very close to WL.

I've been natural for almost 9 years now, but I shaved my head in May 2008 just because (I was feeling fidgety). With that in mind, my hair's starting point for this leg of my journey was less than 1/4 of an inch long. It's now grazing APL. I'm making myself leave it alone until December 31st, 2010. At that point I'll decide if I want to continue growing it loose, cut it shorter, chop it off or loc it. I'm starting to feel fidgety again.

I'm a pretty slow grower, and my hair NEVER retained while relaxed, even after finding this board. So I'm glad its getting longer now.

After a hair cut, I was desperate to get the hair I lost back. I found LHCF and I started here at NL in October of 2008. I reached APL in December 2009 I am going for BSB in 2010 and my ultimate goal is MBL:sweet:

Joined in 2007 at a raggedy probably APL. Got trimmed to SL or between SL and APL in Sept 2007. Didn't get any in 2008 unless I didn't them myself. In 2009 had some trims around March or April 2009 and then again in August or September 2009. I'm BSL now but shooting for MBL by the end of 2010 by leaving it the heck alone.

I guess I should participate in the thread I started lol. I never seemed to grow my hair too far past my shoulders. I woiuld get to SL, maybe slightly past and then I'd either cut it (b/c I "needed" to "trim" my "split" (read: dry) ends) ) or they broke off from my abuse of heat or relaxer misuse (yes I DID relax from root to tip ).

So even before I found LHCF I'd vowed to myself I was going to take better care of my hair that year (2008). I was already relaxing about every 12 wks- out of laziness more than anything. I was considering going to get my relaxers at a salon around the time I stumbled upon LHCF.

I was between NL and SL March 2008 and I hadn't had a relaxer since Jan that year. I was being lazy and indecisive. I didn't know if I wanted to keep relaxing (but I didn't want to do it myself anymore) or transition. Somewhere down the line I decided to transition. I did the BC 062908 and I've been fully natural for about a year and a half now. The pics should show in my siggy from when I did the BC to most recently.

In my siggy! Well pretty much. I started my HHJ at the beginning of February, but my hair was uneven, so I got it cut to a more even length on April 4th, a few days before that picture.

Sorry, i wasn't trying to ignore you, i hadn't been back in this thread since i posted. I only PS in the summer and only because it's too hot for hair to be on my neck . When i do it's usually in a bun or clipped up with my ends tucked in. My reggie is wash once a week with Mizani shampoo, protein every 3-4 weeks and DC every 2 weeks with Mizani cond/EVOO/panthenol. In the summer i use Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 daily and seal with oil (currently using Gleau Oil). In the winter i use Mizani Butter Rich moisturizer mixed with panthenol daily and seal with oil.

i went on a yearlong heat hiatus in january of 2009 @ about SL.

i cut about 3 inches that year, but got to APL.

i joined LHCF in september of 2009 (after a cut) about 1.5 in from APL.

i am now midway between APL & BSL. (1-1.5in from BSL)

ETA: My ultimate goal is WL stretched =)
