What type of relaxer do you use and why????

I was thinking about relaxing my hair in January and I'm not sure of what tyoe/brand to use. Any and all responses would be greatly apprectiated. What I wanted to know is lye vs. no lye and what brand. Thanks ladies

My hair stylist uses Design Essentials Lye (Regular). It does well on my new growth.

I use Mizani Regular.. because it's the bomb.

It just works for my hair.. I had to play around with a few before I fell in love with Mizani though.

I've used Mizani Mild for the last three years and I have always LOVED the results.

I use Mizani Mild, too, and I love it.

If I went back to No-Lye I would definately use Soft and Beautiful Botanicals.

I use Supreme by Utra sheen mainly because it is at a nice price two for 5 plus poo and setting lotion for 5-6 dollars

I use Beautiful Beginnings No-Lye relaxer. My mother puts it on my hair for me. I have always used this and I like the results.

I use Affirm Mild because it gets my hair straight and is soft and silky.

No, you can buy Affirm online at Sheeldez.com. I would love to find a local BSS that sells Affirm (I live in Ohio), but for now I buy it online.

I use revlon realistics mild w/ lye. I wanted something that keeps the moisture in my hair.
