washing my hair in the shower, getting out of the shower to condition it under a hooded dryer, then hopping back in the shower! UGH!
that's exactly why i wash in the sink.

To be honest, I can't stand the process of washing my hair.

I find it very tiresome and annoying, and yes I know I must do it for the benefits, but it's quite stressful, maybe it's because i'm transitioning?

It takes me about 2/3 hours from start to finish, urgh!

I am also transitioning and I have the same stresses as you...

Styling...I can come up with styles, but I sure hate how they don't last very long. That bugs me to no end :ohwell:.

Being careful while I'm detangling stresses me out. I really have to control the urge to rip my hair out!

I'm use to and sort of like the washing and conditioning every 4 days it's just seeing the stray hairs on the comb when I do the comb thru detangling that stress me. Then I have to remind myself it's natural and your hair is in a protective style 100% of the time so when I few come out IT IS OK!!!! But I truly do not want to see any!!!

Surging when I have too much new growth. All of the parting through thick roots makes me nervous about breakage and shedding. Sitting under the dryer and detangling don't STRESS me, but they sure enough get on my nerves. I can't style, either, but I'm over being stressed by it. Unless I go to the salon, I just have to stick to the three styles I can manage :).

So many replies! I thought I was alone, and that everyone loved every inch of hair care.

LOL.

I hate that I can no longer wrap my hair the way I have been doing for the past 4 years. I am trying out other methods, to no avail.

But that does mean I have more hair! :weird:

I hate that now that I have cut out heat (Straightners and Curling irons) and dont wrap it wet. ( Combing when wet is very bad) My hair is really never as straight as it was, unless straight after a relaxer.

But I suppose it will be worth it :p

DETANGLING  , I cringe every time I see hair on the comb even if its just a little. and now with stretching out my relaxer its even more harder.

SAY IT AGAIN GIRL! I'M IN THE SAME BOAT WIT YA ON THIS !

I love the washing and cond part. It's the styling that I hate. I mostly wear it slicked back in a poofy (no gel) bun out of laziness. When I do finally style it, people get so excited like I'm on extreme makeover or something.

:look:Uh...........when I do my hot oil treatment, the oils will start to run down my neck.
This tends to be very iratating.

Nothing! I usually do a deep condition on Sunday, I wash my hair over the sink and apply my treatment then cover with a metallic conditioning cap because I don't use any heat. I then do my housework, chill and then rinse. Retake impatience once stressed me out but now I have learnt the art of patience, I'm cool!
