"Honestly, Truly"
To be honest, I can't stand the process of washing my hair.

I find it very tiresome and annoying, and yes I know I must do it for the benefits, but it's quite stressful, maybe it's because i'm transitioning?

It takes me about 2/3 hours from start to finish, urgh!

What are *your* stresses when it comes to your tresses?

Just styling my hair stresses me LOL. I have to examine the hairs that come out, and if any are due to breakage instead of plain shedding, then I freak.

I know this is bad, but lately I have been putting my hair into two double buns after washing and just leaving it that way until I wash again. I spray my hair twice daily with braid spray and smooth as needed. At night, I wrap my hair up in a satin scarf while it is still in buns. Less manipulation = less hair loss.

Styling. I have no skills whatsoever. I have books, videos, mannequins, etc. I still can't do a decent cornrow, flat twist or press. I need one on one instruction!

Styling. I love washing but once I am done with all the treatments, conditioners etc I am too pooped to make a real effort to do a good job styling. I think that is why I love weaves so much.

Nothing. I only stress when I don't have something that I need or I run out! Otherwise, I think it's fun taking care of my hair.

Sitting under the dryer for over an hour...by the time I'm done with my hair, I've lost at least half a day, but I'm always happy with the results :)

I hate, hate, HATE sitting under the dryer. I sit under my hooded or bonnet dryer for conditioning treatments or a roller set at home and I hate it. I hate it in the salon even more. I have my hair dresser wrap my hair and I cover it with a scarf and leave. I air dry all the time and I like it better. This could be why I refuse to go to a dominican salon. :)

The same as your stresses!

DETANGLING  , I cringe every time I see hair on the comb even if its just a little. and now with stretching out my relaxer its even more harder.

When I mess up by mixing shampoo's and conditioners that shouldn't go together. I did a quick wash with CON which I haven't used in a long time and did a rinse out condition with Garnier Fructis......major tangles! I was frustrated so I waited a day and fixed it. Now my hair feels normal.

No more experimenting for me!

I too am style challenged! for example last night I attempted to do 5 bantu knots on co washed hair, this morning it looked like a fuzzy frizzy nightmare. lol. I dont understand what Im doing wrong!

not to mention I cant cornrow, flat twist, wrap, NUTHIN. The best style I can do is a single french braid or two strand twist set (not flat) rolled on perm rods....braid outs using PLAITS and a halfway decent roller set if I use snap on covers. my hair looks a mess most of the time!

the other stress is my hair looks like its been six months since a relaxer! my hair was underprocessed last time which was about 10 weeks ago I think, and that was 10 or 12 weeks after the one before....so I have a fro with straight ends going on. not cute. not cute at all! grrrrrr....

I stress out when I don't have my hair in a protective style like braids and weave. I stopped using heat only once a month and now I am stretching my relaxer to 2 months, hopefully 3 months. Which, I had never done before. I sometimes find it relaxing when I wash my hair but I do not like conditioning afterward, because I have to rinse again. What I really don't like is after the wash. I have to sit there and think of ways to style my hair for the following day; w/out heat mind you. And that sometimes take another hour. So all together it is 3 hours, or 2 hours if I really don't care how it comes out dedicated to my hair. I know it will pay off but I am a really busy person. Full time work, school, boyfriend and gym just does not allow me to get the results I want out of my hair. Can I tell you I love braids it is so worry free. :) So no you are not alone.

I hate this too... my hair can get soo knotty! UGH!

Styling. I usually wear twists, creating them takes hours because my arms get tired and I have to take breaks. Since I also usually do this on the same day that I wash, it takes up my about half the day.

DRYING!!!!!!!!! It doesn't matter how.....air, heat, blow, sun, whatever.........drying is the biggest time consumer!!!!!

My regimen does not stress me out. I have a lot of fun caring for my hair. Relaxing my hair used to be stressful for me because I wasn't getting the same results each time, mainly because my hair was not in good shape to begin with and I didn't know what I know now...

Now, even when it takes me a few hours from beginning to end to touch up my hair, I make sure it is a fun, undisturbed, relaxing event. I listen to music or a good talk show on the Internet or radio and the time just flies. I also treat myself to a good dinner and/or a new purchase after I'm finished.

Nothing really.. except when I dont give myself enough time to do my hair on a wash day and I get stressed from that.. *shrug*

You know, that's a great idea, setting the mood, I rarely do that, and have the kids running around stressing me out! LOL

I need to follow your footsteps and make it a pampering experience of some kind.

Trying to style my hair when it is soaking wet out the shower. Since I don't blowdry it takes a while before it dries and sometimes my styling products won't work on watered-down hair.

Detangling was a nightmare but I think I may have conquered that problem. I'm going back to washing in sections and only detangling combing prior to washing with conditioner in my hair. I'm not washing my hair loose in the shower anymore....too many problems imo.

only thing that really stresses me out is trying to do cornrows on my own head. Other than that i dont have any other issues.

washing my hair in the shower, getting out of the shower to condition it under a hooded dryer, then hopping back in the shower! UGH!

I think the thing that stresses me out most about my regimen is styling my hair after I’ve washed and deep conditioned it…especially when I’m months into stretching out my relaxer. I hate having to carefully comb my hair and style it…this normally takes about 3 hours. I’m glad I have braids now and plan to keep them in for a while because I just don’t have the time to do my hair everyday/night.

How are you able to find all the things that you need in Norway, ballet bun. The last time I was in northern Europe, the only items I could find for my hair where Kerastase and that stuff is super-expensive. I sometimes wonder how all of you sisters over in Northern Europe do it, especially in Scandinavia. Do you wind up shipping things over there or taking trips to the States or London? Growing healthy hair is always an achievement, but more power to you for doing it in a place where I would have troubling finding hair products.
