This is a great thread! My LHCF staples include co-washing, baggying, the "mohawk" style for rollersets (courtesy of Macherieamour), pre-poos, and deep conditioning.

1. Deep Conditioning
2. No-brushing (it's not for me :nono:)
3. Sleeping with satin/silk scarf
4. No petroleum/mineral or other harsh ingredients in my hair-care products
5. Coconut oil
6. Shea butter

Coconut oil
Biotin
Protective styling
Relaxer stretching
Bunning
Hennaing

I think that's it for now. I've learned tons but those are my staples.

cowashing (no shampoo)
baggie method
protein and moisture balance
deep conditioning
no brushing
combing my hair once every week or every two weeks(while wet with conditioner or detangler)
No direct heat(too lazy to flat iron my hair)

the use of glycerin!!! has taken my hair to anotha level
CO- washing----great tip
no using mineral oil---i use to always wonder why my hair would not stay moisturized--versus just being coated and the next day dry as h*ll

difference btwn lye and no lye relaxer
stretching in btwn relaxers

and ofcourse product reviews--always help when purchasing porducts that work for my 4a hair

Using conditioner as moisturizer
Sealing with Castor oil

Theses are the 4 things I've used/done consistently.

Knowing that anytime I need some information regarding almost any area in my life I can get on one of the boards on this site and pose the question or contact one of your incredible ladies via email and get a response.

How to be even more accepting and understanding of whatever a person wants to do with their hair from natural to relaxed from short to long, from coloring to no coloring. In the end we are all unique individuals and my hair journey can be uniquely different than another persons hair journey and even though that may be the case continue to encourage people on thier own journey.
