I voted 3c/4a but i'm not to worried about my hair texture I have tight corksrew looking curls and the texture changes at the front of my hair.

I don't really know but I think I am a 2a.
When my hair was longer shoulder length it was very wavy and when it was APL it became even curlier which I suppose would make me a 3 something.
Now that it's back at mouth length, it is completely straight with some bits that flick out at the end.
I doesn't seem to have a 'pattern' at all!
But anyway, if I had to pick I'd say I'm a 2a.
Maybe someone could explain what I am?

i consider my hair to be a mix of loose, medium and tight 4a coils

I think I am a 3 c 4a???? can you only tell when hair is wet?

3C/4A (an equal amount of each)

Can someone tell me what mine is - I haven't got a clue!

My roots are like that all over, well on the whole. Sorry for the quality of the pic.

4a mostly

some 3c/4b but not enough to claim. ha

4a mostly. The nape is looser, but I don't even try to type that. I just say 4a.

I'm not sure. When i was natural the last time ppl said i was a 3c. I will wait untill my hair gets a little bit longer so i can figure it out =)

maybe 4a with a little 3c...heck if I know.

I can't speak for anyone else's kids but I will not be relaxing my daughter's hair. When she's old enough to ask for it I will explain to her why she doesnt get relaxers. Right now I have a hard time even imaging putting heat in her hair, but she's not even 2 yet. All of my reasons have been previously listed so I won't go into the details.

It is however going to be a struggle. I've been getting comments from female relatives since she was born about her "needing a perm". Not to mention my own husband who thinks cornrows and natural styles are generally "unprofessional". Comments like that just make me more determined to go natural myself and keep my daughter natural for as long as possible.
Kids learn what they see. When i was 10 i cryed my mom to get my hair relaxed, because my older cousin got one. I was surrounded by white girls with straight hair and i hated my hair because it was "too much" and hard to style. My whole family relaxed their hair but and aunt that is 2a.

If only i knew what i know now.

So, that's why if i have a girls, i will show hair to love her hair in its natural state, show her the versatility that our hair have, and i will try to make her proud of her hair,as much as i am.

im also 4b around the hairline and 4a everywhere else

I got into an argument over my hair type before with some chick that accused me of wanting to be 3c...she told me I was wrong for classifying my hair since I wasn't natural...and I wouldn't know my hair type until then. She was one of those militant naturals who belongs in the "No such thing as healthy relaxed hair " thread-one who takes pride at persecuting all the "permies." :flyingwit {rolls eyes} So now I go by the words of Ms. Counselor in regards to my hair type, "I have hair. The type is subjective."

this is so crazy. i'm sorry you had to experience this with this lady as if you could not see what grade you new :rolleyes::rolleyes:growth was.

Mostly 4a. There are some wavy-S' in there too..I don't know what to type them honestly. I thought I just had straight hair hanging out lol. Turns out, they're not straight at all. @_@

texture is 3c but curl size ranges from is 3c to the 3c/4a border

Didnt' vote because the longer my hair gets the more it changes. Being that I wear my hair curly the longer my hair gets the more it pulls down my curls. So when it was around APL I was 4a/3c. Now that it's WL it's in the 3c/3b. Wanting to let it grow back to TL to see what it will look like curly that long. When it was that long before I wore it straight and never curly. So I'm curious.

I used to think I was a 4b but I think Im a 4a

3b... though the longer it gets the less like a 3b it looks :( me no like that though
