What is/was your biggest hair issue?

My biggest problem was overprocessing. After I learned about stretching, and started doing my relaxers at home, I don't have this problem anymore.

patience:lol: it used to be dryness & knots, but my regime has got those quite under control. i swear i'm not doing anymore big chops. this starting from scratch again is testing my last nerves!:lachen: but it is growing, and i'm retaining, so i can't complain. the bottom layers are scraping collarbone finally & i'll be at apl in another year and a half, then i'll calm down ... for a little bit:D grow hair grow

I have trouble spots that have been in the healing process for a few months but are still shorter/thinner that the rest of the head. (nape/crown/side hairline) I am happy with my progess, but so eager to get it all evened out...The nape is the worst :perplexed, but I'm working on it.

Underprocessing. I don't use alot of direct heat and I am pretty consistent with conditioning. Underprocessing has caused me damage that I have been fighting back and forth with for a while. It has given me breakage caused major dryness issues.

My problem is finding clips that REALLY work for thick hair. (without having to order off the net.)

Retaining what I grow...I'll do great for awhile then all of a sudden BAM a setback. :wallbash: :( Fortunately I've only suffered one setback since joining LHCF so hopefully with the knowledge that I've acquired I won't suffer anymore. :ohwell:

I can't wait to have that issue!

girl, it's frustrating when you buy a click that say "THICK HAIR" and you put it in and your hair just laugh at it! I end up giving away so many clips just for this reason.

WAS
Dry hair - remedied by weekly DC and daily moisture
Split ends - remedied by DC, moisture, and more moisture
Shedding/Breakage - great treatments and moisture
Basically, all improvements are due to LHCF tips

IS
Nape breakage - finally growing in well due to underprocessing, babying, and moisture
Cutting - I have to stop cutting my hair. Don't know why I do it. :hammer:
PJism - I buy too much crap every week. I am trying now to just buy replacements. I have cut back a lot but I am still working on it. just not too hard

:lol:...My name is Ineedhair and I am still having an affair with my shears.

My biggest issue right now is my nape. It bothers me so much and I can't stop touching it. I can't wait to get braids in August.

Those braides should fix both of the problems, and you'll be just fine
for a couple of months. :)

Ditto. I've been pretty good, no scissors since February/ March! - No trim or cut till at least December. I had dryness issues but either the products or techniques are finally kicking in cause my hair stays softer longer

Yeah, I understand. After I decided that I was going to grow my hair, it took me six months to decide not to cut it every month. This year I've promised myself that I will not clip at all.

Letitia I totally feel you on the hair clip deal. I bought a 3-pack of claw clips, and before the week was out I had broken 2 of them. Needless to say within another day or two the third one was gone also.

My biggest hair issue is probably breakage. I workout a lot, so I use my Chi about 4-5 times a week. I've recently decided to give up the heat and try roller sets for about a month or so. I've also been using the Salerm 21 leave in conditioner.

Any other suggestions for breakage? :perplexed

My issue was Dryness & Occassional Shedding & Breakage due to the Dryness, My Remedy:

S-Curl for my Moisture & Loreal Hair Fixer Once a Month for Shedding & Breakage! Works Like a CHARM!!!!

OT: Honeydew, your hair is looking good!

thank you!

I can finally tell that it is growing - and this is AFTER I stopped topical growth aids earlier this year. I was never getting noticeable progress while using those.

I get bored with my hair too often. I am never satisfied. Just cut it recently and now I just want to throw it up in a ponytail because I don't even want to look at it...ain't that a B. Maybe tomorrow I will love it again.

Same here. I finally have the self -relaxing down now, but had to suffer through 2 underprocessings first. This caused major breakage in one area in the back, but it is slowly but surely growing out now that my technique is better. I will very gradually trim so that the longer parts even it out a little, but it is a long process. I hope by Christmas to be a full, even shoulder length.
