What is the best temporary hair dye for dark hair?

Ladies... I'm getting bored!!! I need a splash of color, just for awhile, that wont damage...
All i know of is box colors and thats it... and that got me to where i am at... with straight damaged ends...

Any success stories on dark to black hair?
i dont want anything to do with peroxide...ever again...
