What is the arm pit length

What exactly is arm pit length? Is it hair that reaches your underarms or is it when your hair reachs your inner arm where we normally have our blood drawn from, on the inside of our elbow?

Or what I do is tie a scarf around my back under my arms, above my chest and that gives me some clue of where my goal is.

It looks like BSL, is top of bra strap in that diagram. Also, MBL is bottom of bra-strap in that pic, not 2-3 inches below bottom of BSL like we've been saying.
