but not above shoulder length or past arm pit length. That is the type of hair that i have. What causes this to happen?

No tangles past arm pit length? Really? Seems like I read someplace that it becomes harder for oils to travel down the hair shaft past shoulder length. And this probably causes tangles. I'm not too certain though. Any other hair experts??

Lovelylocs, I have shoulder length hair and I think I know what you're talking about. If I want to wear my hair down straight, it will bend or tangle right at the shoulders; or some parts may stick out and won't lay down flat. I remember when my hair was shorter, there was no problem with my hair laying flat or straight. Is that what you are talking about???

Question...when is it tangling? Wet or dry? Or both?

BUMPING!!!!!!!

Does anyone else with shoulder length hair have bends right at the shoulders??? How do you keep it straight/flat preferably without heat??? I wouldn't want to flat iron everyday or so. :nono:
