Okay, I am ashamed to ask.. but I must!
I see everyone talking about MTG this and MTG that.
I put in a search and just get random threads.. so I am confused.
IS this a treatment to promote growth between touch-ups?
IS it just for natural hair women?
what is it?

My understanding is it's stuff currently marketed towards horses that smells extremely horrid that people are using to spead up hair growth.

Yes the smell is not that great.

Yes, I am going to try it.
There are few tack shops not too too far from me, but I dont know if they'd sell it to me if I dont have a horse,

I just want to know about the proportions, I know that each person has their own thing.
But I still have no idea how to use it.
As a leave in? a scalp moisturizer? can I use it with braids and weaves in?
Do I mix it with water or oils and what proportions?

I am such a :newbie:

The best way to apply it is to pour the MTG into a spray bottle.
Then spray it on the scalp (some people use it on hair too) its too much imo to put on the hair, it usually travels down the hair anyway!
it can be used with weaves and braids too... Ekomba(a member of LHCF) got brilliant growth by applying it in between her cornrows/Canerows.

The smell could put you off but i dont think it smells too bad (kinda like sulphur 8 without the perfume!)

if you have a sensitive nose then i suggest you buy some EO's to dilute it with, Mane n tail shine on cut the smell completely for me...people actually say my hair smells nice after i spray the shine-on on!

the best way to cut the smell though is to wash hair at night apply MTG by the morning the smell as gone completely.

happy hair growing girl :)

I'm glad you asked this question. For some reason I thought it was the widely marketed MTG that was growing everyones hair. So it's actually the stuff made for horses.

Question: I do CW just about everyday, can I spray MTG on my scalp at night and then wash it off in the morning? Would I still see some growth?

That's a good question!
I dont want to keep this thing on my scalp when it needs to be washed off.
For me this is unfamiliar territory.

...MTG doesn't NEED to be washed off

MTG was originally MADE for HUMANS!

MTG can be used 2-3 times a day.....whatever floats your boat, some people spray it on several times a day to keep hair moisturised...

Happy hair growing ladies :)
