I am late on this one ..............What is MTG? Where can I buy it? How much does it cost? Does it promote growth?

The active ingredient is Sulfur. It is an oil and many members have experienced growth from this product. The smell is not great, but many have found ways to mask it using Peppermint oil or mixing it with other products.

It is applied to the scalp.

I make my own version using sulfur powder from the drug store, it works well and does not have a smell.

if you are allergic to sulphur, then no it will not be safe for use. if you are not allergic to sulphur, you'll be fine

Yep.
Also, it is topical, so you aren't ingesting it, so as long as you don't have a sulphur allergy, and don't have sensitive skin, you'll be fine.
Now that I am working at a horse training center, I am seeing this stuff all over the place- but I am not tempted to run some in my hair while grooming the horses, lol!!
