Hi Ladies I am new to the site but I have a questions. What do you wear on your head at night to bed? I know it is probably a silk scarf but my husband hates my scarf and I love it I have had it for years... It is silk and it white and pink with flowers and he hates it because I also secure it with a mesh wrap around it because I do not want my scarf to come off while sleeping. Can anyone suggest some better scarfs if you will or different ways to make it look better instead of like Ant jemimah? Oh yeah if anyone watch A Raisin In the Sun he called me to the basement last night and I am thinking something is wrong... No he wanted to show me that I looked like Sanaa Lathan in the beginning when she had that head scarf on :perplexed

Thank you Carmela because my husband has called me the wolf from little red riding hood too! I told him just because you have little fine hair like a baby does not mean you can just talk about me. Girl I told him how did he think I made beauty happen when were dating... I wore my scarf at night and he benefited from it the next day!

He complained until I told him that if he likes long hair he has to deal with it. I hate when he tells me what his mom and sisters do with their hair  I always shoot back with "Who's hair is long and who's is not?"... he shuts up rather quickly.

I just put my hair in a high ponytail and wrap my silky scarf I got from the dollar store around it, I also have a silky pillow case as back up in case the scarf slips off.

Thanks Teenie! Your hair is beautiful... Wow you are my inspration:notworthy
I know this may sound crazy because I am new but in my profile it ask me what type of hair do I have and there are numbers like 1 and 4b what do they mean?

Straight "AintJamima" up in here! I put on a plastic cap, and then a stocking cap over that, and then my satin scar over that. Well, at least my scarf is black :)

Normally I just put my silk scarf over my pillow case and don't wear it but this week I've been wrapping it so I put the scarf over my hear. If you're going to put anything on your hear I don't think there's a way to avoid the Aunt Jemimah look.

Unfortunately my nightime look isnt the most glamorous. I alter between my satin bonnet and a multi-colored silk scarf. Sometimes when i tie the scarf on it can look kind of cute, but neither one is particularly flattering. :spinning:

Oh the bonnet he really really really really hates it! I told him you just need to go to bed first and then you won't see it except for on the weekends! :yep:

I wear an old, broken in silk scarf - and have for ages (it fits my head perfectly and never comes off at night)...unfortunately it is black with huge pink and green flowers all over it. DH isn't crazy about it but I don't care...at least I never leave the bedroom with it on.

I wear a satin scarf or cap or both. But sometimes (for prepooing only) I wear a plastic cap.

Thank you! The hair type thing is used to help you determine what category your hair would be in based on its natural texture. Some people use these categories to help them decide how to care for or what products to use on their hair.
Here is a link to a hair classifier for ya

Satin Scarf or Satin Bonnet...depending on what I'm doing to my hair...Scarfs are perfect for when I wear bun to lay my hair flat, or when I wrap....My bonnets or perfect for rollers or braid-outs

I wear a satin bonnet. I used to wear a scarf but started wearing the bonnet. But, depending on what type of style my hair is in, I'll wear a scarf. Otherwise, I sleep in a satin bonnet.

I just put my hair in a high ponytail and wrap my silky scarf I got from the dollar store around it, I also have a silky pillow case as back up in case the scarf slips off.

Except for the the high ponytail, I do the same thing, I wear a silk wrap around my head, but always use a satin pillowcase as back up.

I baggy every 2 days, so on those days I'd wear a satin bonnet. On other days I'd wear a satin scarf or satin bonnet, whichever I grab on the first go, since I have so many of them.

Girl I spit my tea out when I read this. You sound like me and my husband. :lachen:

I wear a black satin scarf but I make sure that I tie it down rather snug (not tight) because I'm a wild sleeper and there have been nights wear I tied it rather loosley and it's come off.

OMG caramela I am craking up too! I am in tears reading thisabout your husband talking about his sister and MOM! That made my night girl!

I wear this at night. In have it in brown and black. I also use a satin pillow case.

Only time my husband minds me wearing this thing is during those moments :arrowright: :over18: Except for that it is all good.

I wear the Spartan (Christina) brand Satin Gro formula scarf; a friend of mine turned me onto it when we were starting to pay attention to our hair around the same time. Her hair was heading towards APL at the time. She left our company so I haven't seen her since. I don't know if this scarf really contributes to hair growth, but it is about 5 feet long and I can wrap it around or tie it in the back, and I ALWAYS get it in black, even though they offer purple, gold, lime green and some other conspicous colors! :drunk:
