What do you use to make your hair more manageable to comb out in the shower?

I don't have a problem detangling. I guess my hair isn't long enough. I use the flow of the shower water and my fingers. I use a wide tooth comb after I towel blot but I have no tangling issues.

Good for you cause it is crazy. I washed my hair last night and just washed my scalp and when I rinsed out, I let the shower rinse out and the suds go down the length of my hair and cleans it at the same time. After I con it, I barely combed it. I was so darn scard. Now I have it in a old lady bun. I need a touch up. I look a little jacked up right now But I am still learning!

I use a detangling shampoo like Keracare along with my wide tooth shower comb to detangle my hair.

3. Shower your body
4. Detangle your ends, and then gently comb through the rest of your hair
5. OR, while you rinse out the conditioner, detangle your hair under running water from the showerhead

To keep my hair managable I put it in braids before showering. Then I poo, then I saturate each section of hair with conditioner and braid back up, finish showering then comb out each section under the shower stream. The best detangling conditioners for me are Garnier Sleek & Shine, Mane N Tail, and White Rain Tropical Coconut.

Where can I get that Denman brush from? I was reading up about it a while ago. So it really detangles your hair in the shower? Is there a trick to using it?

I bought it online, can't remember the site though. Its called a Freeflow brush and has wide set bristles. No trick to using it, I just brush in sections nape to front).

NACIDIT OLIVE OIL RINSE!!!!

Okay can ya'll tell I am excited about this product. I tried it for the first time last week. I did an emergencee treatment and my hair was very tangles. something told me to put the rinse in after the treatment and when i say the tangles were gone immediately, i am not exagerrating. and I didnt even use this under the shower. I was skeptical about it at first but I am so happy I bought it. Give it a try it only cost 3 something.

Combing my hair b4 shampooing to be sure all shedd hairs are removed helps alot, then I shampoo my hair in two sections, one at a time only using the tips of my fingers to get to the scalp but only sliding my hands down the length without bothering the length, then I rinse under the water pressure and finger combing and/or combing through to catch anything that tried to cross each other.
I know that scrubbing and swooshing the hair around into a ball causes major tangles and I stay away from that. I try to keep my hair in the combed straight down position when shampooing and rinsing it keeps tangles to a minimum if any.
I then apply my conditioner to the hair in the same position and twist the length up under the shower cap, but when I'm done DCing and remove the cap the ends can fall down to the original position without disturbing the length, I rinse in the shower under the running water one side at a time and either twist each side after I'm done rinsing or let it hang to drip dry.

Now every now and again, I'll get lazy and try to rinse my DCner out in the kitchen sink that's a no no for my hair, and I need that Capilo Honey and Milk rinse or porosity control in my hair life, they just melt the tangles away. I think dominican rinses are the best for detangling.

I have that same comb...is it like a turquoish color?...This comb works okay but it's not the best for detangling (finger combing can take long and it's a pain but I get least breakage and shedding) so is stopped using combs unless I really need it...The best detangling condish has to be Elucence MBC...this condish has so much slip my hair falls apart...and trust me I got 3c hair that tangles up like no tommorow.
I found co-washing followed by a moisturizing condish and leave-in followed by using protective styles to avoid tangling helped alot...

Maybe you can try a DT first under a heat cap or baggy than try detangling when rinsing off so it's mega soft and conditioned...Also make sure you comb starting at the tips and work your way up to the roots if not your gonna pull some hair out...patients is the key

I am starting to wonder about these dominican rinses. I see a lot of people are using it. Hummmm.... So I guess the key is Dominican Rinses that do the trick? Are they better then Cons?

I separate my hair into 6 sections before I get it wet. I never comb or detangle when my hair is dry. And I always handle (acv rinse, condition etc) my hair one section at a time, makes it easier.

Have you tried Creme of Nature Detangling Shampoo?

I usually wash with this and do my comb out after I shampoo with this stuff under the showerhead. It is GOOD!
