What Do You Like About Your Hair?

It seems that we spend majority of the forum trying to get rid of the problems we have with our hair. Is there anything that you like about your hair? This will help us see how beautiful our hair really is inspite of some of the problems we have encountered. I'll start

I like the fact that I have hair and don't have problems like men...bald head in the middle, two pieces of hair on the side. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like the fact that with everything I have done, it always seems to grow back.

I like the versatility of being able to wear it curly or straight

I like the fact that my hair will tell me what works by rejecting or accepting a shampoo or conditioner I use. If it works my hair is moisturized, shiny and bouncy. If it doesn't my hair is dry, sheds and I look like a chicken head! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like the fact that there are people that like my hair just the way it is and asks me how I get it the way that I do. I can teach others how to get their hair like mine.

Your turn! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like the fact that my hair is growing, even if it is slow growth.

That's it's naturally black (sounds weird but I like black, the darker the better)

I have no split ends or seem to suffer from them

I can put my hair in a ponytail with ease and the hair still touches my back when i do this.

My hair touches my collarbone, something I thought I'd never see.

I like the fact that it's the longest and healthiest it's ever been.

For me I love the versatility(?). Plus that fact that after all the breakage and shedding I had almost 2 years ago is behind me forever! My hair has never been this shiney or healthy as it is today..with the proper care and knowledge I found on the forums I can truly say my hair makes me smile everytime I pass a mirror.

I like the fact that even though my hair is permed, I can go curly anytime with the help of some water.

I like the fact that it isn't splitting, and that it has been growing, DESPITE the fact that I haven't had a trim since late August.

It's very well-behaved! /images/graemlins/smile.gif It's easy to shampoo, easy to detangle, easy to hold a curl, easy to wear in a braid out, and I don't have to do very much to get it to look good. I like the volume, and I can live with the length even if it doesn't grow any longer.

Well, what I do like about my hair is that no matter what I've put it through, it hasn't given up on me and keeps growing.

I like the fact that I have hair..........I do love it for just being there.

Other than that, I hate it. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif

I like that:

- It is incredibly thick
- holds a nice curl
- has pretty natural highlights in the summer.

You and me both! I thought when I first cut off all of my hair that it wouldn't ever be the same...I must say that it is far better than I ever could have imagined! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

That I actually still have hair left on my head considering all the wear and tear I've put on it.

I was told by a beautician once when I had a layer cut that if you want your hair to grow all one length, to not get your hair trimmed for five months! I was like, please...I can go that long. You are right, your hair is still growing even if you don't trim. Not trimming is not so bad, it's when you can see straight through your hair because the ends are so bad that you know you could use a trim /images/graemlins/laugh.gif Hey...maybe this will be my secret to my trim needs! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I live thickness sometimes too carrie and the natural highlights isn't bad either, especially if a person has a haircolor that is too dark for their skin tone. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like my hair color, the thickness, the waves the new groth creates when my hair is pulled back and the fact that I now know how to control the flakines of my scalp.

I like-
[*]that my hair is "good" hair - it always does what I want it to do.
[*]that with a good rollerset and flat iron, I can have perfectly coiffed Oprah (yeah I said it) hair.
[*]it is healthier than it has ever been.
[*]it always has incredible sheen.

/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Yeah, people like to ask me what I do to my hair. I almost hate to tell them "condition and wear in PS alot of the time." Folks tend to search for a miracle in a box or bottle, and some of them get upset when they can't BUY what's on other people's heads.

Thanks for the compliment about my color. Funny you mention it because I got an email the other day about it. I was asked if I did my highlights at home or at the salon. It was funny because the answer was "neither" since my color is natural. My Mom and sis have the same thing going on on their hair too. My mom has the reddish tint and my sister has a red/blonde thing going on. All three of us get asked if we dye it. My mom said that this one co-worker STILL doesn't believe that her hair color is natural. That's good I suppose, but no one like being portrayed as a liar. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
