What do you do When you can't Compromise?

That's the question.

If something comes up that you can't compromise on with your SO/DH...how is it handled? Who is supposed to give in and get their way?

I haven't had this issue in my relationship but I'm sure there would be SOMETHING that neither of us want to compromise on. I don't mean something like how many kids to have....more like I want to replace the living room furniture and he wants to replace the bedroom suite and both are in good condition.

You take turns. One time I get my way, the next time he gets his, and in general the woman gets her way a little more often .
