Since we've found LHCF many more of us have become more efficient in our haircare routines therefore being able to lend a hand to others as well as saving those hefty salon fees (to indulge more in our PJism)

Which of the following can you/do you do for either yourself or others? (you can choose more than one)

-Shampoo/deep condition
-Flat iron

Also...
- Bleach as long as only on virgin hair, no roots! (overlapping!)
- Any type of temporary colour :)
- Er.... ponytail..... I'm pretty bad at styles...

I tried to dust but more split ends/knots keep apearing so have given up.
I used to do my own relaxers but overlapped all the time (still, better than paying a hairdresser to do the same thing...)
I did my own braids but they took almost a week and came loose easily.

ROLLERSETTING. Thank God I found this site, otherwise I would be going in every week paying $35-40 for a wash and rollerset. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful tutorials and pics of rollerset hair. My hair now looks exactly how it did when I went to the salon--if not better.:)

OT: you're a Deftones fan huh? RX Queen is my jam!!!

I have always hated going to get my hair done and sitting in the shop ALL day, so I became very self sufficient when it comes to my hair (it's also how I found LHCF :)) I can pretty much do everything except cornrows (my fingers just won't cooperate).

Nothing!

Ok, not really. I can wash/deep condition and that's about it. I guess I can curl and straighten it. I can't do any hair styles really. My mom relaxes my hair for me.

I really want to learn how to cornrow and roller set my hair.
Rollersetting I think I can get down..cornrowing? I have no idea how I would do that.

- relax
- shampoo/deep condition
- trim/dust
- roller set
- henna

Before LHCF, I used to do my own sew-in weaves too. I don't do it anymore because it messes up my fine strands.

I suck lol. I can just shampoo/deep condition and henna. I dont know how well I can flat iron on my own yet, I'm getting my maxiglide really soon soo i'll see.

Relax, henna, wash/condition, dust/trim, and flat iron. I wish I could do a nice rollerset, those look so good. My arms would get tired though and I don't have the patience to sit under the dryer either. :ohwell:

I can...

-Braid/Kinky Twists with Extensions
-Relax/Texturise
-Shampoo/Deep Condition
-Trim/Dust
-Colour/Henna
-Flat Iron/Tong/Curl/Roller Set
-Twists/Braid without extensions
-Cornrow without extensions

I can do most things except for anything with extensions (I tried to braid my friend with extensions once and it lasted about 2 weeks  ).
I also don't know how to relax/texturize properly.
But all the other things I know how to do. :)

DANG!! Thought about setting up a shop?

I can do relaxer touch ups only. I've never done it on virgin, i've done it for my sister.
I used to dye my hair regularly
Last month i did a flat twist and a cornrow on myself i was soo happy! When i finish uni i'll practice that (i have a hairdressers head)
I can trim
Shampoo/deep condition obv. I could prob rollerset someone.
I cantwist/box braid.
Flat iron.

I marked off all of them except sew in weaves....never did that before but the rest I can do without any problems and everyone always ask me what salon I went to and they are usually  when I tell them I did it myself....one lady told me I was in the wrong business :D (government employee)

I can def do the braids with extensions but I didnt vote it since I will never have the patience to do my whole head. I'd just re-do my edges and pick and choose ones that need to be redone.

I did however vote relax even though I choose to get it professionally done.

Well I already knew how to braid/cornrow, flat iron, wash and deep condition, but rollersetting I would have never tried. I'm still not a pro but with more practice, I'm sure I can conquer it.

i can shampoo/dc and rollerset and flexirod my hair. i used to self-relax (waaaaay back in the day) and i could probably now, but i'm scared to overlap in the back. i would loooooove to know how to cornrow. any tips?

I can:

Relax
Color/henna
Rollerset/flat iron
Wash and con

I WISH I could french braid. That is a beautiful style and I'm so jealous of those who can do their own:ohwell:

I can do everything which is why I stopped going to hairdressers since April of this year! Saving myself mega$$$$$$$$$$$

Good for you Shunta!

I too learned how to rollerset for the first time when I came to LHCF and I'm always learning new techiques for this style. It does feel good knowing I can style my own hair without having to pay a stylist. :)

I also wash and deep condition, relax/texlax, braid(plait) my own hair.

I can do pretty much everything on that list but the extentions Im not willing to do on my own hair (to much work, makes my arms hurt)
I won't do a relaxer/texturizer on no body for personal reasons

i am afraid to even try to give myself a relaxer. i rely on my mother for that.

i am getting much better at rollersetting my own hair with the pink or larger magnetic rollers. it takes me a while...by the time i get to the last part of my head its just about dry...

i can shampoo deep condition and cornrow my hair. one day maybe ill be a pro like the rest of u.
