I haven't seen a thread like this and thought I'd kick off a new one. :spinning:

I made a thread like this on BHM a while back and I'm updating (not much has changed) it on here. Also, feel free to add on categories that I don't have like henna, gel, or rinses.

Join in!

Tan's Staples:
Clarifier- Perfect Results Clarifying Shampoo $5
Shampoo-Aussie Moist Shampoo $5 (liter), Suave Pro 2n1 Poo $2
Conditioner-Aussie Moist Conditioner (detangler) $5 (liter)
Protein-Aphogee 2min Reconstructor $10 (16oz)
Deep Conditioner-Aussie 3min $4
Porosity-Roux Porosity Control Conditioner $8
Wet Sets-Suave Coconut Conditioner (leave-in, moisturizer) $2
Oil-EVOO (sealant, pre-poo) $2
Heat Protectant-Elasta QP FLS Thermal Spray $3, ORS HP Serum (serum) $7.50
Roller-Sets-Elasta QP Design Foam $4

Total- $58+

I never buy really expensive stuff, but I assumed that my staples would cost much more than they actually are. This is nice to know and hopefully I'll save some money because I usually buy larger sizes which can last a very long time. Also, I do have a bunch of other products that I'm going to find some way to use or incorporate until they're gone because I refuse to give away my stuff.

@JJamiah

 are you for real? this must be heaven in a bottle! :lachen:

It is so light weight, and I might be swapping the Buriti Oil for this though because they both are weightless but make the hair feels like OOOh Diane :)

I love it. Gives the hair a silky feel without the weight.

BUT.... I just tried Buriti oil about 2 months ago and this is giving the Herstyler a run for her money :) :yep:

I also must say YOU only need two drops of the Serum for my whole head, that is how lovely this stuff is. :)

I need two pumps of the buriti but it gives off more product.

Herbal Essences conditioner (I use one for ends or the purple one for curly hair): approx £2. Quite often there's some 2 for 1 deal going on.
Olive oil: approx £2.50
Shampoo (usually Aussie Moist): £3.49 but there's usually a 2 or 1 deal on this product
Henna: £0.99p (but I use this like 2-3 times a year at best)

That's pretty much it as far as I go with products these days. All in all, I spend less than £10 every 1.5-3 months (depending on if I've bought deals) on my hair.

Eh, i'm honestly in search of a whole revamp of products... Granted these things work, i'm looking into more natural things...

I wanna play!

The core of my staples hasn't changed in years, although now that I'm newly texlaxed (natural my whole life until a few weeks ago) I've added lots of products with Ceramides. I sort of want to try Biolage Hydratherapie Cera-Repair for my steam treatments, but the AOHSR and AOGPB work SO well that I don't wanna "fix" something that isn't broken.

Shampoo- CON Detangling and Conditioning Shampoo $6

Conditioner - AMC $6, only used for prepoo

Protein- Phytospecific Milky Restructurer (comes with Phyto relaxer), Nexxus Emergencee $13

Deep Conditioner- AOHSR $9 and AOGPB $9 (used with the steamer)

Heat Protectant- Aveda Brilliant Damage Control $16/Chi Silk Infusion $20 (but I use them only about twice a year).

Leave in Conditioners:- Redken Anti-Snap $17, Biolage Leave in tonic $17

Sealant: Mizani H2O nighttime treatment $20, sometimes the wheat germ oil $7
