This results so far are very interesting because I think the public perception of LHCF is that we are all self-hating, secretly want to be white, relaxer-loving black women who think that long hair is the secret to being loved and accepted.

Its so true. Obviously for some folk it will be that but for most I think its just a style/preference. If the aforementioned is the case among some relaxed heads going natural wouldn't solve it either. And it doesn't mean naturals, or those with long hair have accepted themselves either...
Keep growing ladies, whatever your hair is!!

Well on Friday I was 4 moths post so i guess I was transitioning, but now I am RELAXED and loving it! My hair is feeling great! Used ORS No-lye for the first time... its a keeper.

Newly natural....I must say that I am soooooo happy that we have a great mix of relaxed and natural heads here so everyone can benefit fro the tips provided.

Honestly....I'm so relieved it's not too heavily skewed in one direction...

Great poll and thread, OP!!!

My hair is so many textures right now, I am not sure what I am. :dizzy: However, I will go with relaxed and considering transitioning.

I am relaxed, but I haven't had a relaxer since October 19th and I am probably not going to relax until sometime in June or July. But nonetheless, relaxex & lovn it.

Oops, I voted natural but I'm actually transitioning since 1-1-09. Coming to LHCF started my journey to natural the first time so I'm forever grateful!
