I use 2 packs because my hair sucks it up and I have a lot of hair. I tried one pack on soaking wet hair didn't work and it didn't cover all of my hair. My relaxed hair needed more than my natural hair did. (I'm transitioning)

I use only 1 pak. I like the paks better, cause if I had the bottle, I will probally go overboard. 1 Pak is more than enough. I divide my hair into 4 sections. Apply from root to tip. Then put hair into one pony tail. Apply to ends, nape area and edges. Yeah 1 pak is more than enough.

I used 2 packs on dry hair. I now just buy the bottle

I don't put this on soaking wet hair. I thought it was better to towel dry your hair and put DC on towel dried hair. Well that's how I did mine and I use 3/4 of the pak (and I am generous) and my hair came out super duper great.
