Wet buns and breakage

So, the last two times I washed my hair, I put it in a ballet bun right after. The outside of my hair will dry, but the inside stays a bit damp and takes a couple of days to dry if I don't take it down. I also put a spiral hair tie on the bun to hold it, but I don't loop.

My question is: would the tension of the bun or the hair tie create more damage to my hair since my hair is wet than when my hair is dry?

From my experience buns made with ties or elastics break but there isn't breakage when I'm putting a hair stick or a claw clip

Ok. Thanks for your feedback! I'll have to learn how to use a stick, but it's something that I've wanted to do.
