I want to purchase the La Jay Half Wig and rock that for my PS for the winter. I have never EVER worn a wig nor a weave. So when I went to the BSS yesterday I asked for a 2 and 4 because I knew they were both brown which is around my hair color. You know what ended up happening? Neither matched. The 2 was too dark and the 4 was too light. The funny thing is, most people would say, pick the color your closes to, but I'm right smack in the middle of both of these colors. Even the lady at the store said my hair color is something she's never seen before? 
erplexed The picture in my sig is from the dye I put in my hair last year that is now growing out, but I'm trying to get it to match my natural hair color.
Here is a old picture before I dyed my hair. Its the only picture that I could find where it actually looks like my hair color as I see it.
So what would you do? go lighter or darker? Really hoping I can get advice from a few wig/weave specialist.
