So I had a date, for the first time since I broke up with my so, we went to the movies. I'm leaning my head on his shoulder and he touches my hair, the ends of my hair. He slowly starts moving his way up like he is scared to actually touch my scalp. Finally, I feel it, hand in scalp. :lachen:. I didn't say anything, I was actually pleased. (I didn't think it was forwrd because we actually hung out at the gym a couple of times before we went out) At dinner afterwards, he told me he loved my hair and if I could wear it in a curly style. Not in the one where you use the curling iron but the one when girls braid their hair and then unloose it. :lachen:Told him I'll think about it. :drunk:

That's good that you didn't mind it... I find weave checks to be poor form and wouldn't have gone out with him again. I guess I'm too tough on guys....

First of all, your hair is lovely as it is. Secondly, why is he asking you to change your appearance for him? I dunno, sounds strange to me that a guy is asking you to curl your hair and in a specific way. What's he up to???

lol... i don't really see anything wrong with it. we're friends too and he always saw my hair in a bun. it was his first time seeing it loose. I actually thought it ws funny him asking me to do a braid out.

Lol - yeah you usually don't hear men specifically request braid outs! :lachen: That's cute though - I mean, not the weave check, but the braid out request.

GIRL!!! There's a guy that has made his intentions very clear, even though he knows I'm with someone, right? I saw him on Friday and he did a weave check on me! He came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder, then my neck then went in thru the nape to damn near the crown just feeling. I was like "Yo, did you just weave check me?!" Him: "Ah ha ha...naw, naw. Nothing like that." At least yours sounds appreciative of it being yours! Gwon and wear a braid out for him

As long as you don't see anything wrong with it. Me, neither. It's actually a cute story.:lachen:I think he was holding off on the comments til he made sure it was your real hair, though.

Tell me about it! A guy I dated was into hair like this and I stopped talking to him. I thought he was too superficial.

Cute story.

I'd be suspect of any man just starting out asking me to change my hair for him. Little things have the possibility of turning into big things.

:lachen::lachen::lachen: That has happened to me before. Also, a lot of men love braidouts. They like the "wild" look.

Ha! That's cute.
He likes braidouts, I can't be mad at that.

I don't blame him for doing a weave check.
I would probably do them if I was a man. Some men like to run their fingers through your hair and that's hard to do with weaves.

That is funny. Guys are a trip. You do have beautiful hair, he probably just couldn't resist.

lmao. why do you have me laughing at work.

He probably was just amazed by OP's hair. Maybe he usually dates girls with weave and was relieved to have the real thing. Maybe he has a sister who does braid out's. Who knows, but it is a cute story.

Awww that's cute... and what's so odd about him suggesting a style? If you're comfortable and friendly with him like that, it probably made for fun conversation. Obviously he's paid attention to women and knows what we like to talk about...

bwahaha this is funny!:lachen: I normally get the head pat, which I hate but guys pat the hair to make sure it's not lumpy. Mine always is because I wear cornrows under a half wig 99% of the time. LOL, I just smile  and say- yea I have a lumpy head, I hope that's not an issue for you, lol. They look scared until I laugh and say it's cornrows.

How cute!! Guys are so nervous about that, not to mention slightly inobservant. I wear weave maybe like 3 times a year for about 5 weeks each time and my ex never knew when it was or wasn't my hair.

Most don't care as long as it looks good, but I'm sure you're getting MAJOR bonus points for the authenticity:)

i was thinking the same thing and he has two older sister so i'm guessing thats where it comes from.

your right. guys have no clue. i don't think guys care about it being real either. i have a cousin who always gets sew ins to protect her hair and her hair is already pretty long. my dad always comments.... i can't believe her hair always grows so fast. lol.

awww what a cute story, i don't think i would have been offended, especially since you two were already familiar with each other. i probably would have been turned on a lil bit .
