Wasted Money on Thermal Heating Appliances

I just wasted over $150 for a stove, deep wave barrel and flat iron. I can over deep wave one side of my hair with the Iron and I get scared when I do the back of my hair. The flat barrel thermal curler doesn't make my hair look any nicer. I ended up just using my ceramic flat iron. I may have to auction some of this stuff off on the board.

You can't return them? I hope you can.

It takes alot of practice to be good using the tools that you use with the stove. It took me a year to get it right and in that meantime I burned a chunk out my head not paying good attention

Once you become a pro at it, it's great but if you are trying to grow your hair out and you aren't a pro you can mess yourself up! I hopw they take it back...if not I'd be interested in the deep wave iron!

sbaker... my stylist was the one who turned me on to trying to learn how to use them the stove, so I could stretch my relaxers. Like I wrote before, I took hair out... in two places. Now I am kind getting used to how long it takes my appliances to get hot... using human hair weave (not on my head... just the tracks). Maybe that's an option for you too.... until you've had a little more time with the items?

Anyone want to be my Guinea pig? Maybe I could get one of those heads from a beauty supply store to pratice on.

It sure does (which is exactly why I stick with electric hair appliances). I have seen too many people burn / scorch their own hair trying to work those bad boys.
